The m24 is a LATE moderinzed version of the r700. the m40a3 is marine scout sniper which was probably what he was in his operation earlier. I know a lot about snipers, and you need to look up your facts. go to imfdb or just search "imfdb guns used in shooter" on google, you will find the acutal guns they used. HE used a Remington700PSS rifle. Get your facts and come back

In the australian army (ony what ive been told by an sgt in airforce), the final test for a sniper is that you lie in a field for 48hours. In that time a target will appear for 30 seconds. Can happen in 1st 30 or even last 30. You have to hit it with a kill shot or you fail. Not everyone can be a sniper. Too darn hard....
