The term Unibody means the "frame" and body are welded together into one unit and gets it's strength and rigidness from the body and "frame" working together! Yeah. At 5:19 you can see that someone missed their mark and the cars made real contact and that threw him into the pole. If they'd meant to take out the pole, the shot would have showed it more clearly.

The whole idea that newer cars are just plastic squishiness is BS. Older cars wore their chassis strength in their bodies.  Newer cars wear their chassis strength in their frame.

A chassis and a frame are the same thing.

Modern cars do not have a "frame" to have their strength in, they are unibody. The body of the car IS the chassis. This goes as far back as the early 60s.

Earlier cars did have a separate chassis, but that's like, 1950s cars. With some exceptions, separate chassis design in passenger cars died out long before this film was produced.
