  • How are you going to supply power for that thing when my bike is locked nowhere near a power outlet?

Also, if I catch you cutting my lock it'll be your hand that gets severed.

  • @cjwright79 they make battery operated angle grinders....the thieves are always a step ahead lol

  • that's not easy ... on nearly every lock there is a video about how to pick them. you sir just showed me that i can buy this lock because i guess is'll not get a better one ...

  • there did u get electricity in alley

  • hmm i have to say it this video does seem suspect. first while yes hardened steel can be cut through i dont think it will be cut through that fast. second he was supposedly cutting the u-lock flatly but when you see the cut end its at a angle which he could not have gotten from where the grinder was positioned.

  • That is fake.... pre - cut.

Notice the lack of safety glasses.

  • @callmeshane303 the fact about the safety glasses makes u sound retarded, so i'm not going to believe ur assumption which u just pulled out ur ass with no reasoning.

safety glasses have nothing to do with the cut and also there were still sparks so yes safety glasses still should of been used but he didn't so i dunno wut the safety glasses have anything to do with whether the video is fake or real

  • how many people carry an angel grinder with them when they go out to steal a scooter or bike ?

  • @TechnoMulen professional bike thieves who make a living from theft carry battery powered angel grinders and are out looking for good quality products.

  • Chinese watch and chinese grinder..haha

  • I read it takes almost a minute to cut through the Granit 54 with an angle grinder. How can he get through it so fast?

  • Witam! Jaki to model Abusa?

  • Tak juz kurwa widze ,jak zlodziej popierdala ze szlifierka katowa ,zeby zajebac mi rower.

  • POLSKA górą!

  • Yup every bike thief carries and angle grinder and power supply around with them and doesn't get caught...

  • @smidge146

Ever heard of a cordless angle grinder?

  • That is not the top of the range abus - it's not an extreme 59, its a granit 54

  • yes dumb it's recording

  • Sounds like a fat Borat !!

  • Okay.. but who's gonna bring a powersaw to steal a god damn bike?

  • @omaifakingad Uhhhm, they will just trow it in the back of there car and cut it open when at home ??? That's why i always have to laugh when you see that someone had bought a very expensive lock, and only puts it around his bike.....Useless,

  • To many cordless power tools out now, no lock is safe

  • Wow: an angle-grinder can cut metal. We're shocked.

  • I'm sure all thieves are within 2 meters of an electrical plug-in point on the street. Useless video...tells me nothing.

  • @GhibliFan1 Heard of Dremel 8200? For about 15-20 minutes it will output the same juice as a wall powered grinder. It cuts through hardened steel like butter.

  • @swidd2 ... and fits in a jacket pocket.

  • Whats the point of this vid anyway?? It's obvious that a tool like this can cut any lock of the market, BUT no without making calling attention with the fireworks, THEREFORE, would a ordinary thief bother carrying this thing and making such a noise just to stole a bike, or even a low/ medium cost motorcycle?

    This video is pointless.

  • @mterrz

Nobody cares in the city. I've been with mechanics on bike recovery runs, and seen an angle grinder go right through an Evolution 4 in less than half a minute. People walk by and don't ask a question. Again, nobody cares as long as you look official.

  • If someone has power tools and they want your bike there is NOTHING you can do about it. There is no lock on the market that can protect against that. The only thing this video proves is that "grinders are a good tool for cutting steel".

  • There are some REALLY powerful battery powered angle grinders; with a 36 volt lithium ion battery and more than 800 watts of power.

But those grinders are very expensive, large and weigh about 10kg / 22lbs...

The real problem is: The cutting discs are made from an extremely hard material; far harder than hardned steel; and almost as hard as diamond.

So, sadly it's possible to cut any bike lock with an angle grinder in seconds.

  • @Coiltec nah man theya re not expensive, steling a biek would probably pay for the grinder anyway, so batery is the way to go, i made thousands of dollars stealing bikes wiht batery powwered grinder amazing

  • @BallerSkier

Then you're a lowlife scumbag who doesn't deserve to breath the same air as the honest, hard working people who paid for those bikes legally. Perhaps if you learned to spell, someone might give you a job so you didn't have to steal. Or you could just crawl into the corner and die and do bike owners a favour.

  • @GhibliFan1 ahah im kidding man this shows how lame u are i dont even have a bike i drive a supercharged dodge charger, wiht u will never have in your pathetik like so fuk off

  • @BallerSkier

Did you earn that from professional BULLSHITTING? You can't even spell correctly, you moron. I'm in an earning bracket you could only dream of.

  • @GhibliFan1 really ans who cares the only thing your lonely life has to to is trolling on you tube looser american faggot

  • @BallerSkier

Actually, it's spelled "loser", I'm English not American, and I am definitely not a ball of minced pork and herbs. My god how DUMB are you? I'd give up while you still have a modicum of dignity left.

  • @GhibliFan1 hah moron u are retarded fuckg english homosexual lonely faggot who cares about you tube and spelling wowo wtf hehehe

  • @BallerSkier Where do retards like you come from? And what is your collective obsession with homosexuality? Are you gay?

  • @karlstade The way these open you only have to cut it once, then the whole thing falls apart. It is easy enough to do on a bike, it just gets interesting if it's a crowded area. Crowds don't always protect bikes though.

  • woulda laugh my ass off if his balls caught on fire

  • what lock you put on.

  • I had my Kryptonite NY STD 3000 cut on the street by an angle grinder while I was watching UFC 100. Professional bike thieves often roll around in a van with power tools not just thing to do leverage attacks and bolt cutters. I was down town and it was still light out when they took my baby. My point is, your bike is never 100% safe, no matter

  • @jclaine sorry for your loss...same happened to me mate....they are bastards

  • Why you're all talking about A/C to plug the damn grinder??

I've got one with battery. Of course it's a bit longer to cut a U-Lock (I work in a bike shop and we often cut lock of customers who have lost their key) but it take around 20 seconds maximum. Never tried on a Abus Granit but many models of kryptonite have been cut...

  • mmmm. where do i cut it? maybe the notch i made before this video. not to many outlets on the street

  • Only problem is.. there ain't alot of wall outlets in the streets. Fail

  • @hahahavictorsmile They have these things called batteries now durp durp lol

  • orrr you can use the end of a pen in the key hole

  • Is this the granite power x plus?

  • Any lock can be cut unless is made out of diamond, but why would someone carry around a power tool? Its common sense, and not all ulock can be opened with a bic pen

  • ther isnt a power socket next to where i lock my bike

  • the lock is pre cut -

I,ll be sticking with my ABUS Granit, that is until you guys learn how to crack them, but your not there yet.....

  • Fake video! Look closely and you'll see this. The lock has been pre-cut.

  • @VisualPlayer44 true, if you zoom a bit you can see it's been pre-cut, another fake video from some smart ass.

  • @atreiuspirit u artupid or somehting

  • @BallerSkier you wouldn't recognize a mule from a horse.

  • Comment removed

  • not so smart . a common thief dosnt possess electrical power and he wants silince

  • this has to be khazakstan.. cuz they both sound like borat hahahha

  • @gravew0lf

One of them speaks Polish, actually.

  • @GRUBU565 Of course use the Kryptonit locks... ps; you can open them with a pencil. I will keep using my Abus granit X-Plus...

  • @JokerPokerUberSmoker no, you can't.

  • these guys are straight out of Grand Theft Auto IV.

  • @JacksInn HEY NIKO, you get new bike and we go bowling, cousin?

  • @Renulin XD

  • Well ... lots of thieves do carry such tools, and of course, when they come to steal your bike, they use giant power cords from their houses, so that they actually can use their disk grinders on your lock ... of course this method is absolute silent, so it will be really easy to cut it without having people lookin at you ...

    Seriously dudes ... zomg

  • @GRUBU565 My friend's had his bike stolen using a Kryptonite U-lock. You've just happened to be lucky enough not to run into a thief in the past four years. If the criminal is determined enough then no lock will stop them; the idea is really to make your bike less appealing to steal. All these U-locks do is prevent theft by hoodlums with wire-cutters.

  • If I am a thief, I just move the bike on the truck. ( If it is not lock with sth...)

    1.

Using the way like him, you have to bring 220v power or DC/AC converter with battery.

notice: The battery provided lower power it can't cut the lock, so it should take a DC/AC.

    2. sometimes people using two different lock like grain or brake lock

    3. GPS inside the bike

  • @GradoLabsFans And I agree with milbomilbo using that you bring too many attention.

  • I wonder how many bikes are stolen by thieves using an angle grinder, vice and workbench.

I'm guessing not that many. Post another video of you doing this with a bike locked up to a Sheffield stand in the middle of a busy town and that would present a more accurate test. No lock is impenetrable - it is just a question of how long it can delay a thief. Using an angle grinder would be a terrible way to steal a bike as it would draw too much attention.

  • The Video looks like a fake to me... there should be cuttings of the plastic coat, but there are none. You can only see it from one side and it seems he is hiding something. Also if you look at 0.36, you will see that the lock looks like being open, and there is another coat at the chakle. And what tells me that this is really a Chinese angle grinder? Also his smile and the weird laugh at the End tells me that they are lying and that this Video is a FAKE. Greetings, Dice (I have this lock)

  • @diceman1367 are you that ignorant man ?? its black and white in your face!! he cut the damn lock!!!! jeeeeeeeeeeeeezus christ!!!

  • @diceman1367 obviously you are not blind because you saw the video but their were sparks flying and you saw the blade go through the lock it was not fake

  • @GRUBU565 Oh, "fucking Germany" yeah... thanks mate I love you too! Freeze the shakle of a Kryptontonite with coolant spray and you can open it in a few seconds. The Germans my friend, yes I don't like them that much either, but they were one of the best safe producers in the world and they made alot a good vault lock systems in the past! For Example: Kromer Protector.

  • Too bad, there are cordless angle grinders...

  • @GRUBU565 I'll be sure to keep that in mind, thanks. I currently use just a cable lock, mostly just on campus so I'm not too worried. I'll probably start using both the cable and a u-lock (kryptonite of course :D) when I move into an apartment. Thanks for the tip

  • Ha if you carry that in your pocket, a 100 ft extension cord, and a bench vise to hold it steady...

  • Counting a little bit more precisely, it's actually 4 and a half second.

By the way, does it takes more time if the material of the lock is stronger?

  • what a joke

  • all u need is a cordless grinder..

  • I doubt there are many locks that won't succumb to an angle grinder or oxy/acetylene.

Angle grinding is a noisy approach though.

  • You should at least do it without the vise.
