  • Water and air are shamed by comparison. An excellent video and demonstration, something to aspire to.

  • may your steel flow like water

  • DRAGON TWISTER/-/===

  • Dats what's up

  • Outstanding form, excellent body and muscle control. I see know why my Shifu will not teach me the Jian. Perhaps for the best, I prefer a more aggressive weapon such ad the spear or quandao.

  • this form was invented by chen shixing himself, it is not from the official sanfeng sect.

  • beautiful yes, but i'd rather be a big hulking knight with a longsword covered in plate armor hitting hard, fast and relentless.

  • Awesome stuff, seemless flowing through fast and slow.

  • so beautiful and fluid

  • never look down on wudang sect. they are one of the top martial arts sects long ago =)

  • nice

  • Very nice ^ ^

  • compare: watch?v=iWKE8N4AMpU

  • every movement looks exaggerated

  • Sifu, You're Awesome, congratulations.

  • I just don't have the right words to describe my awe and admiration at the skill and beauty shown in this video-i know i may never be this good, but it still inspires me and makes me proud to see someone display an accomplishment this good in an art form that i truly love and respect.Thank you 1,000 times for posting this as well as all your other videos.

  • i wanna learn this..

  • Girls are great on the Wudang sword damnit.

  • The western world was like....... no way can we beat that... lets make Nuclear weapons

  • amazing. grace and beauty all the while in perfect control. I can see how these moves can be deadly if ever actually used in combat. Although this art of war is somewhat obsolete, it's still amazing to see how some people can actually dedicate their entire life to arts such as these.

  • DAMN THE STRONGEST STYLE OF THE JIANG HU !

  • That was so beuatiful it was actually disturbing.

  • beautiful...

  • excellent

  • Really feeling the music, anyone know who it is by?

  • @yusuf1608 Tai Chi master theme song this is the Canto version

  • great... just great !!!!

  • I will come visit you soon.

  • Seriously, who could hit the unlike button after watching this video. It just doesn't seem humanely possible.

  • @coolchiller5 i agree with u

  • I know this form. I learned it years ago. I assumed it was tai chi straight sword or bagua straight sword. I had no idea that I had learned a wudang style. I learned a lot of other cool stuff from that teacher.

  • brilliant

  • very good

  • this steel flows like water

  • @diogeneslaertius666 > Thanks for the link Bro'. This was nicely done and quite inspiring...

  • some party are the same like in taiji jian (36).... interessting! i like it!

  • wow

    very very good

  • i saw wudang kong fu master in demo of how to fight in real. it works in fight. don't underestimate them by their ourlook. wudang kong fu is a totally different thing with common martial art.

  • congratulations brother in the brotherhood of kung fu. eagle claw practical. I wish to God that if one day my country was privileged to have a teacher like you. Dominican Republic wants its presence. I admire you never get tired of watching this video

  • Bud spencer is gonna like: WTF???? ! Baaaam.!!!! That chick s going to call someone to dig her out of the ground. XD

  • lol. that s show only. you will get pwned in real in no time. And what kind of weird song is that? The force is not strong with this one. ^^

  • ...♥it♡it♥... stunningly beautiful, awesome, marvelous!!! I especially love @0:22 - 0:40!!! Thank you so much for posting &sharing *^o^* ...♥it♡it♥...

  • What a great form !! you inspire me :)

  • what is the song called? i remember it from an old movie where it was about a sword master from shaolin was betrayed by his friend..... damn forgot the movie name...

  • I absolutely loved this form. It is so expertly presented and I really wish it was available to me. Very well done. You move like a Cobra.

  • Effortlessly precise sword work to the subtlest level. You obviously have many years of training. Thanks for sharing this.

  • Cool....very elegant and beautiful form^^!!!!

    very very like this!

  • well now that was a cool form.

  • Yes it looks very pretty and the tempo and flow are beautiful. I still think its absolutely 100% ineffective on the street and this kid would get a rude awakening if he ever got in a street fight. I practice Muay Boran and Judo and have been doing it for 17 years. Ya, its not as pretty, but the fact is that its just downright nasty and effective. In the end, isn't that what "martial arts" is about? Knock yourself out if you think this is the shit, but don't rely on this to save your life.

  • People that practice martial arts for 17 years don't tend to develop such ignorant and disrespectful attitudes.

  • I love the changes in tempo - effortlessly going from slow to very fast in a single graceful movement.

  • anyone an idea where to get this nice song? seems to be a special version from soundtrack 'once upon a time in china'.

  • Beautiful. But how can this be used for combat?

  • @VNPrince it's not used for combat. I'm Chinese and honestly, i prefer katanas. Their use is a lot more practical and the physics behind their moves are actually meant to deal damage, unlike this stuff. Well, besides that, most of the strokes are meant to entangle or parry hits, so its like less-deadly fencing.

  • @meddlingmage23

Dude check out Tang Chinese Swords. They kill Katanas anyday

  • @VNPrince hells yeah

  • To upsdelivert... You obviously don't know anything about Wudang. I moved there and studied with these priests. Humbleness can be found in a wise heart and imbarassment can be handed on a platter.

  • @DichoticDragon and bad spelling and grammer can be found in your message. Listen moron... I didn't say that these "priests" weren't humble. It has nothing to do with spirituality or wisdom. I'm only stating that all forms of kung fu are just not effective in real life situations. Come to my gym anytime with your priests and I will back this opinion up. kiasingthong

  • @upsdelivery

    monks

    where is your gymnasium.

I hope you know how to block eye pokes and groin kicks.

  • @gilga999 no actually I don't know how to block a groin kick... i just stand there and let him kick me in the nutz over an over.... lol. wow... that was the dumbest comment I think i've ever read in my life. You must be really stupid..lol.

  • @upsdelivery

    you never answered my question,

where is your pathetic gymnasium and tell me who your lousy master is...

I bet i could kick you in the groin so hard that your testicles would shoot through your clavicle.

Just because you watch ufc and train at some pad wearing, headgear sporting, shin protecting fat gut master school, don't bad mouth REAL MARTIAL ARTS!

You show how ignorant you are by not knowing the history of fighting and martial arts. This is a form, not a fight, moron...

  • @upsdelivery

Have you ever been in a knife or sword fight?

Or do you just ground hump one another at what I'm guessing is a jujitsu school?

What do you train, 2 hrs a day 4, 5 days a week? Try a lifetime with over six hrs of training, 7 days a week. Your weak American mind would quit this lvl of training in 3 days, I would put money down on that.I would rather fight someone who punches bags and not trees and rock, conditioning is the difference in real martial arts and sport arts.

  • muy bueno

  • Is this form from a Wudang style that is seperate from the Taoist arts of Hsing-I, Ba Gua and Tai Chi?

If so is it a system of fencing, or an entire complete style?

  • really nice quyen !! very delicate handling of the sword !! very special !! and well chosen music :: where is it took from this music ?!

  • Superb and inspirational.

  • This is a beautiful form. Thank you for posting it.

  • truly masterful... man, that was just... awesome

  • Nice.

  • So... just so you know, its a rhetorical question. Like does anyone that replied actually know this guy? I highly doubt it, so how can anyone comment on whether or not he is fast or slow? When I was 5 I became a student Hung Gar Kung fu under Tony Chong who was a student of Wong Fei Hung, the founder of Hung Gar. I trained with him for 19 years. I have a rank of Sifu. When I was 26 I went to a Muay Thai class and sparred with a student who had been training for 3 years.

  • @upsdelivery With pride comes arrogance. Careful, stay humble and don't underestimate any foe whether they look fat or skinny.

  • He basically had his way with me in the ring. For the past 10 years Ive been a student of Muay Thai under Arjan Songlith Singthong, and have obtained a 2nd degree black belt in Judo. I can honestly say that I could kick the shit out of any Wudan fighter. Kung Fu, Karate, etc they are more of an art form. Tat Moh, a buddist monk from India, travelled to a little monestary in China called Shoa Lin (meaning little forest).

  • He invented a set of exercises to strengthen monks chi flow so that they could keep up with the rigorous meditation. Westerners are so brainwashed into this almost Jedi status of these modern day practioners. Trust me when I say Kung Fu is not practical. This is coming from someone with firsthand knowledge. Anyone that says otherwise is welcome to come to the gym I train at. We have a nice piece of lawn outside, and we can go toe to toe bare knuckles.

  • man this song is so epic and its one of jet li movies songs

  • Pretty Nice =] i like the Wudang sword style very much:D:D:D

  • Moving a sword and fighting with a sword are two very different things. I wonder if his graceful moves would actually equate into a lethal killing machine, or if its just all show.

  • it's not just show

  • Be that as it may, Taoists don't go around killing people lol :) Their battle takes place somewhere else.

    Beautiful form....and I like the speed very much, slow and smooth enough to learn from. :}

  • @upsdelivery

Just because one has an opinion, it does not mean it is meaningful. Same with the sword.

  • it is very much powerful and capable of a lot, but becuase of taoist practice, they will only use it as a form of defence

  • did you honestly just ask that?

  • yes I did just ask that. did you honestly just ask me if I honestly just asked that?

  • dude do you know what you are talking about "just moving the sword" its not practiced as a dance it is practiced as self defense sorry its backed by thousands of years of practice so in short yes it can be used.

  • I believe he is moving slow to show the technique involved here. In an actual battle he'd be moving a lot faster and the path of that blade would be very difficult to follow.

  • I wouldnt want to fight this guy with anything less than a machinegun. Even then he would probably just dodge alll the bullets Matrix style.

  • even if I could kill this man with a machine gun... it would be very unwise. For there is too much I could learn from him. I would prefer to learn from him as much as I can and while I still can, and hope to God he lives forever.

  • Very skillful!

  • I based one of my Bleach fan Characters off of the name "Seven Star Swords", where the guy's bankai literally does have 7 swords...

  • you should just use that idea and make your own story . it would be cool

  • There's no kill like overkill

  • woah amazinq ;D

  • Magnificent!!! Possibly the best straight sword form I have seen on youtube!

  • Very Impressive! You showed a lot of Control of your Body and your Weapon! I could almost feel your "Fa Jing!"

  • Beautifull

  • What a crazy closing!!

  • WOW SWEET!

  • I have viewed many of the Wu Dang sword methods posted on youtube and have come to the conclusion, though very elegant and beautiful, if you have seen one Wu Dang sword method, you've seen all Wu Dang sword methods, for it seems that they vary very little. Pretty much all Wu Dang sword styles contain similar movement and technique...

  • Beautifully peformed with elegance, strenght and heart. That's what true kung fu is:)

    VTS

  • @veritasthesaint so true kung fu is only for show and no action? thats pretty lame if you asked me...

  • @ShuyuKoukin kung fu is not only for show, its for everyday life, its one of the most known globally for its power.

  • @veritasthesaint True Kung-Fu is the amount of effort someone puts into perfecting their technique. Why did Bruce Lee have to describe his Martial Art as Kung-Fu!? It has caused so much misunderstanding. I know this, and I study Japanese Martial Arts, so how can a China Man be mistaken? :(

  • @teagm003 exactly, the true meaning of kung fu is actually hard work or time well spent. it actually doesn't really have anything to do with martial arts. you could be building houses or having sex with your wife and it could be considered kung fu or hard work or time well spent. pretty much you get out of something what you put into it. do something half assed and lazy and you get something half assed and lazy in return, like a house put together sloppily, its just gonna fall apart right away.

  • @teagm003 Late reply: It's easy. The word gōngfu (功夫) is different from gōngfu (工夫). Some Chinese words only make sense if you look at the characters with which they're written. The first pair translates as "martial arts" while the second one is "skill acquired through hard work/skill acquired over time". American culture had an impact even on China and the US American interpretation of the term "Kungfu" found its way to Asia and created a new word for martial art.

  • @GaolisVideoLog Oh, I didn't know that. Thank you. You can safely say "You got Owned!"

  • @teagm003 XP I didn't know that earlier as well. The part where gōngfu suddenly meant martial arts in Asia was somewhere in 1980s. I learned that from fellow students of mine who are Chinese.

  • @GaolisVideoLog Oh, well... Tell them a random internet guy said thank you. Lol.

  • That was beautiful. A stunning show.

  • THANK YOU
