@BCBtheBeastlyBeast I'm currently at the Cabin fight in 2-2 but that will take a while to complete. I basically have to manipulate all enemies to drop large amounts of gold and hand grenades only. This is a pain in the you-know-what because manipulating just 1 hand grenade drop can be an hour long process.

How was this video generated? Did you record the entire video while you played, and later removed the unwanted retries, or did Dolphin simply recorded your button presses sequence on the time line, and later rendered the gameplay video?
If it was the latter, I am curious how Dolphin could replicate the random number generators during the replay.
@BRIGHTSSSS It is the latter. Dolphin saves button presses like any other emulator does when creating TASes. The RNG is a set value upon start up of a system, and as long as I play back the same button presses each time the RNG will be manipulated the same way. To create the video, Dolphin has a feature which saves every frame to an .avi video file, which is what i uploaded here. So while playing back the button presses, I also recorded.
@soulcalibrII Thank you very much for the reply! I asked the question because I tried with an older version of Dolphin several months ago. Dolphin could not even replicate my gunshot on the very first ganados because the aiming laser randomly fluctuates slightly. In replay mode the gunshot missed him but I actually hit him originally.
Maybe the newer version of Dolphin does a better job replicating the RNG? I hope it is the case. Can your Dolphin replicate the gameplay after a system reboot?

Getting the first ganado in the village area to drop that 9900ptas drop took about 500 or more tries though, and manipulating two incendiary grenades at the same location took about 300-400

Very cool to see you're doing this! It's awesome to read the comments while watching the run, it helps a lot to understand what's going on, IMO this is better than having a full 1080p image of game content with these notes as youtube annotations.
@brianpso A 1080p image would look a lot better. The black bars on the top and bottom of the screen are part of the actual video image. The gamecube outputs the video like this to simulate a widescreen view even if the aspect ratio isn't widescreen. The black bars are essentially the HUD. If you've played the game before (GC,PS2,Wii) then you see the black bars on the screen.
This luck manip just blows my mind. o_O The double incendiary drop in the flash area was just perfect, lol. It's also funny to see the little twitches you do to manipulate drops; do those consistently give you the same drops given that the path you take heading to that points stays the same?
@spiralout1123211 What I can do is hex edit in parts to the TAS. So let's say I TASed that area where I picked up the two incendiaries. But then I realize "I screwed up in the bridge area." If I try and play back the same movements in the incendiary area after changing what I did in the previous area, two different items will be dropped. The drops are determined by so many factors I don't think anyone will crack the RNG. I just do random movements until a good item appears.
I'm surprised you didn't quick-turn after the merchant, but everything else looks just fine. Alternatively, why don't you try and manipulate a gold egg off the snake in the swamp? I've gotten gold eggs there before and it could help you do difficulty adjustment for Mendes and the Water Hall at the ski lift.
@pwnedTAS ...How could I forget the quick-turn X(. Well I highly doubt I'll be able to manipulate those incendiary grenades again...should I keep going? I plan on redoing the swamp area, and may be able to get a gold egg, although I would prefer straight up cash.
@NeonoKokoro I don't understand what u mean. This is a new game, not a new game +. There are no enemies that I will fight between Del Lago and Chief Mendez. The cabin fight could yield me some grenades and such, but with my idea, they won't be able to get inside the cabin, thus no pickups. I only used about 6 seconds total to get 5 grenades in ch1-3. There really isn't a difference between me collecting the grenades in barrels or the bird nest as compared to shooting down enemies.
Great work. It is very different than your beginning with the game where you were waiting hours to manipulate the enemies's drop!
I just have one question: At 09:00; why are you taking the grenade here while you can manipulate 2 enemies on your road to the door? I know it is just a detail but I think it is those details which will make your 1 hour and 35 minutes possible!
@PewableShift I could get the first Ganado to drop a grenade, but trust me, I tried getting him to drop something good. I walked past a money drop but it was only 700ptas. The second pickup is an egg from killing a snake, and that can't be changed. Since I haven't done Del Lago yet I may redo that area.
Any word on when the next chapter will be done?
