your title remindes me of the 16' Grand Ophicleide of the Midmer-Losh Opus 5550. But it would be rather a disastsr to be used in this registration, whuld it?
I had a go on this organ only Saturday Morning Its set in the middle of loads of Factory`s NIce church loving organ shame about the upkeep of the organ And the church is nice but in a little state
Yes it's a shame- still, as the church is unused, I can go in whenever I please really. If you want to come and play again send me an email and I can arrange for you to play when you like.
My partner played this organ back in 2002 for National Heritage Day. He's always saying he'd love to go back and play it again sometime. Your playing makes this organ sound a little more tuneful than it actually is.
Hey Ophicleid 16 ~ Thanks for posting this. yes, the organ is a wee bit ripe. But it sounds like it would be a gem. I have a real love of 19th cent. organs, and especially English organs. Wish I could be there to make repairs and give it a good tuning. Hope the church will preserve this gem. Jim S., Seattle, WA.
I just love church hymns on a pipe organ!

It would be cool if someone would go and tune it up, on the side...an instrument this wonderful shouldn't be left like this! Great playing though!

There is a "celeste" effect given by the age of this organ. So beautiful!
