He didn't want to recount all of Florida he only wanted to recount heavily Democrat districts. You always pick up some votes on a recount and if you only recount Democrat districts you'll only pick up Democrat votes.

Gore was the one trying to cheat. The Florida votes were recounted time and time again and never has Gore been shown the victor.

BDG: both the county clerk and secretary of state are dems, dude. whether this was a deliberate act by either of those officials remains to be seen, but it doesn't matter if it was too much - these folks screwed up big time. having 1/10th the estimated ballots needed and failing to offer voters a provisional ballot is absolutely inexecusable. i do think, however, that this was straightened out in a short time and people were eventually able to vote.
