The government does not have enough funds to defray the expenses for the additional two years, since the budget for education is not even sufficient to fully support the current ten years.
The additional two years will spell disaster in the Philippine Education as there are no available classrooms, books, qualified teachers for the new classes (not even enough for the current system). What quality can we get if we do not have the basics?
My classroom is overcrowded and you can hear the noise coming from outside. No electric fans or ventilation, so instead of taking notes, my hands are busy fanning myself. Time is wasted most of the time when we have to copy the contents of the manila papers that my teacher has prepared because of the lack of books. The lesson for the day eluded me. I have no books or Internet to review the lesson at home. This situation continues until I can no longer catch up and drop out. Is K+12 the solution?
Are you sure this program will make the future of the Filipino brighter. May UBD pa hindi pa tapos ang UBD program. Paano un di titigil na un second year pa lang ang inaabutan nito. Panu ung mga book na ginamit doon? Ung budget na ginamit doon? Another adjustment nanaman sa amin yan bilang teacher. Mahirap un... Hope you think about it further.
I strongly agree with this K+12. This will make the future of the filipino bright! It can help us in terms of employment, especially if you want to go abroad. And other countries will not look down on us anymore! Uh, i hope so! Since when that implemented, we'll be fair with them! I hope this will implemented soon! : )
It is beautiful to see that the Philippines move towards a modern, Westernized approach to education (similar to those applied in Canada and USA). However, my question is would the country have the means to over-come the socio-economic barriers? Furthermore, a streamed system of education which specializes students towards their future careers, would require more infrastructure to execute such a system.
