  • I'm drummer funny

  • Me gusta!

  • How many bpm is that?

  • ouch, that first tom is way to dead

  • Where's the fat guy?

  • you need overhead view

  • @ericou812

i guess you missed the 10 times he used an overhead

  • just some simple stuff

  • Needle dick

  • The high tom sounds beautiful mate

  • eh..wish it was more divers ..

  • Very good teacher

  • which drumkit are you usin?

  • just one question. where can i get the sheet or book that you have in there with you?

  • @matia51 If you wanna find the sheet music for this fills go to freedrumlessons(dot)com look for this exact video name, the vid will show up, down in the description it has the sheet music (which i personally dont use, neither understand)

  • Jared Falk looks like Nick Swardson lol

  • i love the sound of your drum kit

  • @CPTpawnage

Just start slow and work up speed... And dont forget to use a metronome!

  • napoleon dynamite can drum?

  • Q: since im a beginner do you an easy way to learn how to flow through tom- tom beats like that

  • How do u do the beginning part with the high hat bass drum and snare

  • No i suck at drumming :D

  • can do better cant you?

  • Okay..

  • i much rather would watch mike johnston than this guy

  • jared, have you any more advanced lessons, im not saying the lessons aren't great because they are awesome and well set out but as you are a great teacher it would be nice for you to take me through more advanced stuff

  • haha i was just thinking about how nice and in tune the kit was.. and then i heard the floor tom. i was like O_o...

  • What series of Yamaha kit is that?

  • thats the most amazing sounding snare i ever heard

  • he looks kinda like anthony jezlnec (or however you spell it)

  • I like the sound of your snare drum, my snare drum sounds shit... Can any snare drum be tunes that way?

  • um to all the experienced drummers. is there a special way to hit cymbals with messing the drum sticks up fast?

  • @jonnyromero yes. you can strike the cymbal(s) on with the bead of the drumstick rather than the shoulder. people will tell you its too quiet, but if you hit the cymbal more toward the edge, it has a decent volume. (even with the bead.)

  • Not really my style but helped alot. Thnx

  • I was hoping he would perform a SONIC BOOM!

  • my drum sucks voice does't sound good

  • @MrWokaWokaWoka I don't blame you at all and it kinda did to me too but I think it's done on the snare and snare alone in that manner for the people who like to follow along step by anal step. To get a beginners feel for what's to come you know?

  • That first fill annoyed me.

  • Hi, im Andy Segal!

  • that first tom sounds awesome. what heads are those?

  • How do YOU muffle the Bass drum? when I hit mine it's all resonant and sounds like thunder. yours has no echo. How do you get that sound? plz respond.

  • @bupez1 In my opinion, Aquarian Super Kick 2 ... Install it as loose as you can and still get some bounce. Loosen your front head as much as possible. If you have a mic port on the front. Reach in and place some foam against the front head. Mine sounds like a loud thump. No booming at all. Perfect !! Good luck !!

  • @itchitrigger1 Thanks I'll try it right now!

  • Damn i hate people who think drumming is easy but they don't even play the drums. they tease drummers about how they're lame or slow they are. i'll throw my drumsticks at their head and smash their body with the bass.

  • @BMBiRecreation Good idea. Drums can be at different difficulties. It really depends on how far you go. Playing a beat to a children's TV show soundtrack may not be hard On the otherhand, Progressive Drumming.....ohhhh yea. I'd like those people to try that out.

  • Comeooooon, lets speak as slow as possible, or shall we just smoke somethin?

No, kidding. Great videos, inspires me :)

  • i could do these fills with 1 hand and i dont even play drums

  • @pure1108 Oh, so you're another one of those douchebags who think that drums are easy?

  • @FloRavenX know*

if you can play any other instrument, you can play drums

    /of

  • @pure1108 thats probably the funniest thing ive heard all day. because its probably the most false statement ever. you have NO IDEA what you're talking about. Obviously if you look at completely beginner videos, and say "hey! i can do that!" you would think that, but sorry honey. Why dont you look at...well anything else that isnt begginer or go listen to any music. I promise that someone that plays a different instrument can sit down and play some of the most complicated music.

  • @CivilSweetness lolfailreply

kids mad cuz he cant do 16ths trololol

  • @Jakersssssss Yup, you know me. Cant play 16ths, but magically get endorsed by Risen Drums and Soultone cymbals and play in a successful band. Who would think that could ever happen.

  • @CivilSweetness cool story bro now go back to minimum wage paid job

  • napoleon dynamite!!

  • I have a problem, I always start a fill with my lefthand (although im right-handed) I think I just learned it wrong from the beginning, do u think this will affect my future playing drums? :/ Right now im trying to relearn it xD

  • @Triforce12345678 I always try to practice leading my fills with both my right and left hand. I recommend you practice the same if you have time. However, if you're comfortable with everything and everything sounds good then don't worry about it too much.

  • @Triforce12345678 At some fills you have to start left handed mostly its right handed but my advise is try to use your right hand :D

  • @Triforce12345678 same here bro!

  • These fills are too easy there's no bass drum licks

  • cant wait to get that down ae people

  • thx buddy...it hepls me much :)

  • Sweet.

  • awsome drums dood

  • awsome'snare,toms,cymbals,bass,hihats. just awsome

  • what is the drum set?

  • that hi tom sounds sick!! :)

  • Really like the crash cymbal, not forgetting camera cuts

  • Now play The Trooper

  • why does his drum set sound so legit but mine sounds like buzzing bongo drums. i have a decent 499 pearl set, and ive tried tuning it anyway possible but i think its the difference with the clear drum heads and the other kind that is used in the video

  • @SolarGamer it's just the recording, it's all been EQ'd. and the fact that microphones eliminate any ringing from the drums. hope that helps =]

  • @SolarGamer Buzzing is something new to me but if your talking about ringing coming from your toms i personally found that when your playing "live sound" (eg with a band) that ring is hardly a factor, in fact dampening the ring will kill the groove a little bit. Ring isnt always bad, just depends what your style is.

  • teach us how do do that epic roll at 17 seconds in on Slipknot "Welcome" or the one at the beginning of "only One"

  • I didn't know Nick Swardson could play drums?

  • @TheTexasTurbine HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • I LOVE THE SOUND OF HIS DRUMS OMFG

  • these r fills for retards

  • @tibuflavius these r more like bridges not shredding fills

  • @Jacleby the title says "Sixteenth Note Drum Fills - Drum Lessons "

  • @tibuflavius So it's a Fill for you??

  • @jonfrogy28 no,there r for u?

  • @tibuflavius What? haha

  • he's got a really nice sound, good for lessons

  • What heads do you have on the toms?

  • I think he is a very good teacher, I've learned to play and write good drum parts from this guy.

  • Very good advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • a very good lesson.. really easy to understand..

  • do mics make the drums sound better?

  • @luegim1 you can edit the sound you get with computers and amplify it.

  • @luegim1 The mics doesnt do it, but if you mix and edit them right you can get just this sound!

  • @luegim1

Not unless they are recording. Other wise the just in the way.

  • damn thats a nice sounding kit

  • Why is his high tom so low compared to the others? wtf lol

  • Does anyone know how each part of the drum should be balanced? If the snare's volume is 100, how much should the hi-hats, the kick and the toms be?

  • Great fill is |SS HH MM SS HH MM SS HH| as straight 16th notes where S = Snare, H = High tom, and M = Middle tom

  • You have a great soundig kit. I like the camera angles. This video is great, especially for anyone just learning to play drums.

  • Those drums sound great.

  • Nice, really easy to learn ty (:

  • freak

  • 16 beats to!!!

  • dude Did u mixed te soun of d snares with d mixture maine ?? never heard this kind of drum kit before and the symbols are simply awesome

  • i love the way his hi-tom sounds, its sounds like he kicked someone in the gut!

  • i dig the camera angles.

  • Are his toms triggered? They sound awesome!

  • @Nakedrummer94 the toms don´t really sound triggered; they are just mixed.

  • Dang nice kit I'd trade both of my sets for that one I love how the bass and hhx cymbal sounds.

  • The kit sounds amazing *_*

  • well done flatvia i have a dog biscuit for you here....gimp

  • I can't believe I'm watching this, i've played for 7 years and I can play this stuff blindfolded without a drumset xD

  • @Flatvia

    Haha me too :D

Well I only played for a little bit over a year, but I can do this easily :D

  • @BandaDK Thats pretty sad cuz I saw alot of people who only played for <1 month and they're way past this.

  • @nevermoregg

    Am I sad?

  • @BandaDK I said "thats pretty sad" and ignorant people don't care so they're never sad

  • The whole kit is sounding amazing with the mic setup is rediculus

  • hey. what cymbals you got on that kit ?? thanks (:

  • @MrCheeeeese sabian xs?! learn reading?!

  • @ShinY121212 xs? those are hhxs

  • @AlexanderCosB thats pretty the same xD

  • xs are beginner intermediate and sound eehhh ok but hhx are professional and cost more and sound waaaaay better...

  • @Joeskateapool hmmm xs sounds shit^^ but hhx is not expensive its pretty cheap^^

  • hhx are semi costly for cymbals. i have the aax because the hhx are too soft for my playing

  • sabian hhx

    LOOK

  • What snare your using? how did you tune it. Thanks

  • Jared is a better drummer than most of us will ever be.

  • mongoloid

  • He looks at you and speaks like if he was.........

    Adopted.

  • is it just me or does the 10in tom sound deeper than the 16in??

  • nah, the 16in was def. deeper but not by a long way.

  • last one his left hand was leading

  • Wow, didn't know Napoleon Dynamite taught drums.......cool

  • Thank you for posting this~ my 4 and 7 year old watch these with a great deal of intensity. They are useful!

  • @FunkyFruitPro and your username is funkyfruitpro so you have no room to talk

  • does anyone feel like this guy reminds you of napolean dynamite?!

  • that, and the dude from Blades of Glory

    same guy lol

  • Theyre the same person..

  • yer omg! is that the guy from blades of glory?

  • @carlrobinson114 Yep, and he voted for Pedro !!

  • I don't like all the crossing over of hands to go from right to left. How about a left lead??? Any responses???

  • you can but when you hit the crash(usually the last part of the fill)

it wouldnt feel right to hit the crash with your left hand then change again to your right to keep going with the beat

or you can hit the the crash with your right hand but you'll be going left right left right

the last one is a right so it will be a little bit inconvenient

  • I lead with my left alot, but i start it a 16th early when i do so i end with my right hand on crash like normal. Im also left handed on a right set up so its very natural to me to hit crash with either hand

  • right over left is the way that its supposed to be done. on a very rare occasion can you play left hand on high hats and right hand on snare. but its not a common drum teaching.

  • thanks man this helps

  • I love the sound of his kit. Must be expensive...

  • why retard? he's a nice person and a good drummer

  • @officialWB I bet he has a nice career in drumming too.

  • @officialWB

Agreed, and hes a good teacher too.

  • yeah man i know what you mean.

  • Does this guy remind anyone of Nick Swardson mixed with Napoleon Dynamite?

  • do the chickens have large talons??

  • Sooooo reminded me of Nepolian Dynomite ;)

  • what heads do u use?

  • awesome lessons!

  • hey faggot, he's instructing novices, hes not trying to show off his fills, i bet hes a way better drummer or anything u will ever amount to you piece of shit

  • @idunno130 not novices. hes teachin even for experts. experts does not mean top of the world.

  • good sound man!

  • when i started play drums i only knew the second fill, + basic rock beat without hihat

  • i just started

  • Okay, fine. But this isn't a video for intermediate or advanced drummers. It's a LESSON for BEGINNERS. I would never use it either, that's cause I KNOW how to play the fuckin' drums. But don't undermine the efforts of a guy trying to instruct novices, asshole.

  • whoa whoa calm down there buddy. Dont put words in my mouth there chief. i Never "undermined the efforts of a guy trying to instruct novices."

  • you undermining cunt...

  • do us all a favor and stop undermining

  • do us all a favor and stfu

  • sure virgin

  • LOL at buddy and cheif.

  • bet your proud!

  • does his 12" sound off or is that just me? Because his 10" is so crisp and his 12".....isn't
