I fully understand that the Bible has some good teachings, especially some of Jesus' teachings, but my point is that lots of people just focus on the happy bits of the Bible and say it's God's word, but then completely ignore the parts of the Bible that they are uncomfortable with and make up rationalizations to defend it. But you view the Bible more as just teachings and wisdom, not unlike if I read about Buddha, so that's cool.

I notice they never discuss the "FACTS" that pottery, weapons, and human waste have been discovered in the prehistoric fossil layer. If we are discussing scientific fact, explain that. they Deny Physics by eliminating Cause. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Hence there can be no big bang without CAUSE. What about the FACT, that the bible defined the world as round, long before science proved it? Science was formed by men of Faith. NEWTON being one

@NOISLAMINUSA the bible says that the world is a circle, not a sphere, not even round, and in any case, how that proves that everything about god and the bible is real, that only proves than jews were better observers than greeks. Newton was an exception, most of greatest scientist have been atheists. And the big bang obviously had a cause, nobody i saying something diferent, is just that we dont know what, but there is no reason to believe that god did it, as the same whit unicorns or fairies.

@NOISLAMINUSA First, pre-historic simply means before recorded history. And science never says that no human fossils will be found before recorded history. Simply that no human layer was found before human evolved, for instance Jurassic period. Cause and effect would also apply for god too. What's the cause for god? And you have nothing to prove that the cause for the big bang was caused by a supernatural being. You can't make an argument from ignorance because that's why we have myth.

@NOISLAMINUSA Whenever, we don't have answers we have to look for them and not infer speculation. We didn't know what cause lighting, then we came with this Zeus ideas. The bible says that the earth was a circle, not a globe. By the way, the ancient also believes that by observing the earth shape on the moon during eclipse. So, the description of the planet was wrong. If the biblical writers had so much knowledge, why could they tell people something useful like, boiling water before they

@NOISLAMINUSA drink it?Why didn't god reveal how to make vaccines to Moses, the prophets, Paul and Peter. Yes, science was developed by men of faith, but they also had to use rational thinking and abandoned their religious superstitions to develop science. Also, these men live in a time when it was dangerous to even criticized faith and when the supernatural was the only way to explain things. @NOISLAMINUSA radioacive dating? What if he know about the big bang, the theory of evolution? If he knew about the geological record, speciation, genetic drifting, the expansion of the universe, and all the current knowledge we have today, would he still accept the biblical account of the universe? Would Newton and his contemporaneity still be Christians, or would they, like most scientists today, be atheist/agnostics? The fact that he was christians certainly doesn't make Christianity true.
