must say that i found this to be very moving and powerful, sends the tears and memories following, still remember that evening of the 24th 2004 in the nag like it was yesterday...rest a sure that their are 186 people from hmas stuart that have a drink for you and your mates very ANZAC day...
Nate, you are not forgotten, I was speaking to TJ, and Phil about you the other day. We think about you, talk about you, and do not forget. Good times doing Police work in Neah Bay. Blessings to you and all of your family.
I am in the Coast Guard. In bootcamp, they told us of Petty Officer Brunkenthal and showed this video. I think for the rest of my life, I will remember his name. God bless his family. you have my utmost repect and sincerety.
This made me cry. Thank you so much for making this video. Nate was a dear friend of mine when I was much younger. This is such a beautiful way to honor him. Thank you.
I'm on the KAAOT oil terminal right now, today we're holding the remembrance ceremony for him and the 2 Navy sailors who died. RIP to all three, huah.
Was messing around and stumbled upon this video. I can't believe it was over 4 years ago that PO Bruckenthal was killed in action.
I was honored to attend his funeral at Arlington, even though I never knew him in life, as were hundreds of other fellow Coasties who made the trip to honor one of our own.
Those who understand what sacrifice, honor, and devotion to duty really means will never forget.
Fair Winds and Following Seas PO Bruckenthal. You will not be forgotten.
I deployed to the Iraqi oil platforms in 2006 on TYPHOON. The sacrifices of our three brave fallen brothers will always resonate with the PCs. We can only aspire to serve as honorably as they did.
We can never truly repay the debt of the ultimate sacrifice, and only few of us can understand the sacrifice of the family. But it is good to see that his memory lives on in such a beautiful family.
I served on the USS Firebolt in 2007 and I want to mention that it is a much safer place now because of Nate Bruckenthal's efforts. It's horrific that he had to pay the ultimate sacrifice but in doing so he stopped Al Qaeda in their tracks and have kept them from trying to make a repeated attempt since that day.
You won't be forgotten, Nate...even by those who never knew you. God bless.
