*any* martini-based drink needs to be shaken? I thought only if it contains fruit or is vodka based, ah whatever, in this case it has fruit juices. I gotta try this, I like Maker's Mark but I NEVER would have tried it w/ cran

You can also stir martini-style drinks -- bartender (or more correctly, guest) preference -- but they always need to be chilled to equilibrium temperature with the ice. Juice, vodka, et cetera doesn't change this either way.
