To think this guy would receive a huge push, boy did that blow off. It's like WWE said we don't need him.
I guess what TNA officials say it's true, WWE mainly gets wrestlers by looks, not skills. Even though theres some in WWE who are talented but always favors mainly for the bod.
I used every word that Sean Ohaire used in this promo to see what kind of reaction I would get from women on an infidelity issue. I was called sick, and hoped I never recreate XD
Sean O'Haire could have been big in the WWE. He was already a better wrestler than mos tof hte guys that we have had to put up with since his being let go. And let's face facts these promos were made of pure WIN!
batista listen to this promo. batista had sexual needs to filled them with melina. but it did not make his relationship stronger is because his wife divorce him in 2006 when he cheated with her with sexy melina.
i remember i was young when i first saw these promos, i had no idea he was a wrestler and they were just vignettes. i thought this was just some kind of crazy person who spoke on controversial topics. i guess i was pretty guillible.
does anyone else think wwe will give anyone else this gimmick (as well as vignettes and catchphrase)? and secondly, will it get over considering sean o haire already had the gimmick? personally, i think it'd be a good gimmick to give to someone right now because of wwe being pg, it goes against it. however, wondering whether the iwc would accept it due to it being rehashed?
@SCD999 The IWC won't care because (A) the IWC hates the PG era, and this is the opposite of that; (B) it's not like this gimmick got any real traction...it's not like they're rehashing Sgt. Slaughter's Iraqi-sympathizer gimmick; (C) it happened some 8 years ago and I don't think it's happened since in WWE, so it's fair game under the Seven Year Rule.
@itcustom1 Its never too late to join my friend. After all hope of John Cena ever coming back is lost, he is gone permanently now right?, I don't know because I haven't watched WWE since Undertaker VS HBK, I'm starting a new stable called "Lets fire most of the WWE superstars and bring back the old days".
when i first saw this, i thought he woulda made a stable, sorta like a Right To Censor type stable where he "brainwashes" people. such a waste sadly :(
he's a pro fighter now, they got a few vids of him on youtube. must be pretty good, he's faught in PRIDE and ROTR... as a matter of fact ima watch some now. search: sean o'haire mma
yep sean O' Haire could of easily been the next cerebral assasin and a great champion too, but typical wwe don't wanna push potential talent, yhey just wanna keep suckin up to Triple H, Batista and Cena all the time.
That would have been a great fued. Imagine the promo work from O'Haire bringing up all of Shawn's demons to light. I also think that if given a chance, a fued with CM Punk would be great. Imagine the promos from O'Haire chastizing Punk, especially if Punk was able to use his "straight edge" persona that he used in ROH. Some of the promo work that he did in his fued with Raven is the stuff of mini legend! If you get a chance check it out. Too bad wwe doesn't give some mic time
The whole point of these promos was that wwe was planning on a big push for Sean O'Haire. He was going to play a manipulative "devil's advocate" type of character that would focus on a person's flaws and desires and use it against them. Word is that his first big angle was going to be with ironically Shawn Michaels, but the creative team got cold feet at the last minute and his push got pulled because they didn't think he could pull it off
I agree! That's why I'm so big on CM Punk. Because when I see this, in some ways it reminds me of his "straight edge" gimmick that he used in ROH. If WWE really wants to get CM Punk over, they should look into giving him some promo time, and let him play off "straight edge" ROH persona and play a devil's advocate. Then, have him play a type of "moral crusader" straight into his first big money fued with shawn michaels!
@saiyan59 Actually the whole promo was canned when Shaun went off script when zack gowen got his faulse leg ripped off wen Hogan was getting jumped and zack tried helping out, Shaun ended the scene with "This is Bullshit" thulsy canning his carrer in wwe simultaneously, yes I am aware he was around for a couple of months to finish his "probationary" contract
Nater is a bufoon...this gimmick advocates the true foundations of what ALL society is made of...laws by our goverment and a moral compass control our inhibitions, but it's in our nature to do PRECISLY what Sean is asking us to do...and many give in to it free of choice.
Unfortunately, the promo's never made it to the ring. I think he only had one backstage segment on SD with the gimmick and then he became Piper's lackey.

Arnold should watch this. He has sexual needs. It's not like he left Maria. And what Maria didn't know, didn't hurt her. Until Arnold confess.

Yeah, HBK/O' Haire could've put out the stuff of legends. Almost as deep and personal as Y2J/HBK made their feud.
