What needs to happen is that State and Counties need to open free Animal Spay and Nueter Stations where Animals are tracked there are alot of pople out there who want to get there dogs and cats Fixed but can't afford it there some programs like this but not near enough for the size of the Problem free Programs would do a lot I help Alley cat Allies whith there free one in Savannah GA but there needs to be a lot more programs like it to help this situation

All my cats are spayed and neutered. When my female cats had kittens we gave the kittens to good homes, After that the females were spayed. I would also advise folks if you can no longer keep your pet please try to find a good home for it or take it to a no killshelter.

So before anyone starts to point any fingers look at yourself and ask what you as a person can do to stop this from happening. Education is key, as well as spaying and neutering your animals. I also have two rescues of my own, a dog that my husband picked up off the side of the road that somebody else threw out. And yes she is spayed. There is no such thing as a NO KILL animal shelter. I currently work at an animal shelter and I can tell you first hand that there is no such thing. Humane society euthanizes, PETA euthanizes, ASPCA does too. The diffrence between the ASPCA, PETA, and Humane Society is they take the cute and fluffy ones, leaving the older or "unwanted breeds" with us. The only way to deter this from happening is just to stop breeding. Spay and neuter your animals. We use Sodium Pentobarbital.....

Neuter and Spay, that is what is required. The material used in Needle euthanasia is in short supply, the gas is not.. The guillotine is the fastest and kindest approach, but is messy.
The slaughter can only end when the breeding ends. Without mandatory steralization, when these animals can breed at will, there will be millions of them, with no home, roaming the streets, eventually crossing the border and coming to America where they get free medical care and education while taxpaying citizens can't even afford insur...oops. sorry about that. I don't need pictures to know that non-human mammals have emotions too, since they have the same brain subunits as humans do and these subunit do the work they are assigned to. Those parts responsible for different emotions are also existant in other animals. They all fell fear, joy, etc...
Its not really sufficating for air as you put it. I had to gas my dog (because he was incurable sick and getting worse) so I gassed him. In the process I nearly gassed myself so I know how it feels. All it does it make you get tired and fall asleep. Then die. You don't feel like you need air you just feel tired. The smell isn't bad either it just smells like gasoline. Basically that the reason why some houses have alarms for gas because you will have no idea that your dieing until your dead.

God forgive us for destroying your creation and we thank God for our beautiful dog who we rescued from an animal shelter 7 years ago. She has been such a blessing to us. They should make the people who bring their dogs there, push that switch and watch this happen to those animals. i think they would think twice.
Comparing this to the holocaust is an atrocity beyond words. What happened there can not be compared to anything. I work at a no-kill shelter where all the dogs get big pens and get 1/2 mile walks daily with high-quality food and comfy blankets, and there are 4 different cat rooms (they are placed based on their ages) with scratching posts, litterboxes, food bowls, comfy beds, shelves to climb on, toys, and a cat door leading to an enclosed outdoor pen. I really wish all shelters could be like it. </3
Animal shelters are not 'horrible places where animals sit day after day, unwanted.' I've been volunteering at our local animal shelter for several months now, and I can assure you that we very much want and love and care for our animals. It's not like they sit in a dark, crap-filled cage.They're walked and loved every single day by the volunteers who CARE about them. If you can sit here and criticize shelters, then get off your ass and go HELP your local shelter and its dogs!

So fahr over 5 - thousand cats has been adopted only at a couple of years, and it is only in our city ! Together we can rescue those pets ! LETS DO IT ! ! !

I cant even go to my local animal control as it is terrible they dont do any medical attention no spay and neuter and for 20 bucks you can get one of these animals which is cheap but is adding to the problem with more unwanted animals keeping these city employees in a job. The animals that are given the shot are shown love and they're petted like they should be. Their last thought would be "I'm so thankful that I was finally given love!!!". On my bday (my boyfriend bought them 4me) however putting a dog down is good sometime, if it is better 4the dog. I had 2put oscar down due 2medical reason. Its a hard thing 2do, I remember taking him 2the Dr office, and the Dr said that was the best thing 2do. I remember standing there while the dr did it. I handed my wallet 2my friend & went out 2the car crying.

Hey Tutorials, if people would spay and neuter their animals, then people like me wouldn't have to kill these animals. I'm a euthanasia tech and guess what, I do have a heart. It breaks every time I have to go through the shelter and decide which animal likely won't get adopted and must be put down to make room for more. It is aggrivating to have to put down healthy animals and if people would SPAY or NEUTER their animals, then we wouldn't have these problems.
iam not supporting this but i also dont refuse it, an animal cant feel, cant think, dont have any idea of whats going on in its surrounding.

All my cats are spayed and neutered. When my female cats had kittens we gave the kittens to good homes, After that the females were spayed. I would also advise folks if you can no longer keep your pet please try to find a good home for it or take it to a no killshelter.

So before anyone starts to point any fingers look at yourself and ask what you as a person can do to stop this from happening. Education is key, as well as spaying and neutering your animals. I also have two rescues of my own, a dog that my husband picked up off the side of the road that somebody else threw out. And yes she is spayed. I also adopted a hairless dumbo rat that no one wanted from and yes, I got her from the shelter from which I work. And yes she is spayed too.

There is no such thing as a NO KILL animal shelter. I currently work at an animal shelter and I can tell you first hand that there is no such thing. Humane society euthanizes, PETA euthanizes, ASPCA does too. The diffrence between the ASPCA, PETA, and Humane Society is they take the cute and fluffy ones, leaving the older or "unwanted breeds" with us. The only way to deter this from happening is just to stop breeding. Spay and neuter your animals. We use Sodium Pentobarbital.....

My cat is now 17, and know adopting this unadoptable kitten was the best decision ever. I know it's only a matter of days before she dies. A natural death, with me in my apartment

Its not really sufficating for air as you put it. I had to gas my dog (because he was incurable sick and getting worse) so I gassed him. In the process I nearly gassed myself so I know how it feels. All it does it make you get tired and fall asleep. Then die. You don't feel like you need air you just feel tired. The smell isn't bad either it just smells like gasoline. Basically that the reason why some houses have alarms for gas because you will have no idea that your dieing until your dead.

Comparing this to the holocaust is an atrocity beyond words. What happened there can not be compared to anything. Gassing dogs and cats, and other animals for that matter, is the result of stupid owners abandoning their pets because they realize that they cannot take care of them like they thought the could. Yes, gassing is disgusting to watch, but what would be worse would be for the animal to starve to death in the wild. I hate watching these things, but I understand why it's done.

I work at a no-kill shelter where all the dogs get big pens and get 1/2 mile walks daily with high-quality food and comfy blankets, and there are 4 different cat rooms (they are placed based on their ages) with scratching posts, litterboxes, food bowls, comfy beds, shelves to climb on, toys, and a cat door leading to an enclosed outdoor pen. I really wish all shelters could be like it. </3

I've been volunteering at our local animal shelter for several months now, and I can assure you that we very much want and love and care for our animals. It's not like they sit in a dark, crap-filled cage.They're walked and loved every single day by the volunteers who CARE about them. They can walk free in the shelter, and they even have a runout to the backyard too. Beside that people keep adopting them. So fahr over 5 - thousand cats has been adopted only at a couple of years, and it is only in our city ! Together we can rescue those pets ! LETS DO IT ! ! !

I cant even go to my local animal control as it is terrible they dont do any medical attention no spay and neuter and for 20 bucks you can get one of these animals which is cheap but is adding to the problem with more unwanted animals keeping these city employees in a job. The reason animal lovers want to "kill the owners (actually it would be the people gassing the animals), is because animals are completely innocent. People aren't. I love animals! I have two dogs in which i adopted. I love both of them with all my heart. They are my little boys (both puggles/ and they where brothers) I Wish everyone could and would adopted an animal, these animals are not there because they are bad, because no one wants them.. Would u want to go thru your life, feeling now wanted, and have a fate like this?

The animals that are given the shot are shown love and they're petted like they should be. Their last thought would be "I'm so thankful that I was finally given love!!!". The dogs that are put in gas chambers...there's no love. No one's there to hold them and say everything's okay. Even if someone was there to hold them...their last thought would be "I can't breathe...help...I can't breathe!!! Save me!!!". Help to put an end to this. They need us. ♥

@Jazzababie how can people do this? I lov animals way 2much, I got both of my dogs 1day b4 they where scheduled 2be gased, 8yr ago. On my bday (my boyfriend bought them 4me) however putting a dog down is good sometime, if it is better 4the dog. I had 2put oscar down due 2medical reason. Its a hard thing 2do, I remember taking him 2the Dr office, and the Dr said that was the best thing 2do. I remember standing there while the dr did it. I handed my wallet 2my friend & went out 2the car crying.

A lot of the "Cute" pictures you showed were not from shelters but pet stores. You won't see a pure bread yellow puppy at a shelter.
You literally must be 12 years old to make a video like this comparing animal Euthanasia to the holocaust.
I love animals myself but the true criminals are the people that abandoned their animals and or abused them. Euthanasia is the only way a shelter can stay open in an attempt to try to find home for what animals they can. Would you rather they let them go?

@drebin7410 Animals have just as much of a right to live like humans...putting them "below" the humans isn't humane. Yes, people should be saved...but so should animals. These animals never got a chance. I hope you realize that what you just said was wrong, someday. The way you worded your heartless comment...sigh. We should not only save these animals...but we should save people like you. These animals have feelings, too. Just look at them...look in their eyes...they're saying "Save Me".

I just wish everywhere they had a "no kill policy"..I know that's not gonna happen because IDIOTS either won't take care of their dogs or don't want them when they have puppies or are old..I have 3 dogs my oldest is 13&spayed...I have 2 male Pekes age 11..they haven't &aren't getting any females pregnant..It's just sad that animals end up this way...because of idiot humans...Seriously i'd rather be around my dogs than alot of scumsucking humans i know.

Honestly, why are you guys blaming the people who are euthanizing? At least they are doing something to solve a problem: shelter overpopulation. What have you guys done to offer a solution? I volunteer at my local shelter regularly, but I still understand (understand... not like) the need for euthanasia, even though it is a bummer.

All my animals are fixed...Here in Seattle, we have a rate of around 17%, which is low. Sad, other parts of the country run in the 80-90%...sick

Hey Tutorials, if people would spay and neuter their animals, then people like me wouldn't have to kill these animals. I'm a euthanasia tech and guess what, I do have a heart. It breaks every time I have to go through the shelter and decide which animal likely won't get adopted and must be put down to make room for more. It is aggrivating to have to put down healthy animals and if people would SPAY or NEUTER their animals, then we wouldn't have these problems.
