  • Well my sweet dammmn!!!!!

  • who is THE deaf person?!?!? Identify urself!!

  • Patti labelle has a voice like no other.

  • It was not bad though I've never heard Patti singing the climax of this song live as good as on the record

  • Do it Patti!.........By the way, who is the buffoon making the comments amount Whitney Houston not being a legend? You most assuredly are a retarded person and your care takers should remove your computer privileges! I'm not even a big Whitney fan, ( I love Anita Baker!) but I know enough to know, just like Patti, Aretha, Anita, Gladys, Phyllis, Dionne, and Chaka, Whitney Houston is a legend! "Different generations of course."

  • great performance, though recorded album version is probably greatest vocal performance ever. Most live versions later, she just over does it, which after singing 1000's of times, I understand why. But this performance is pretty good and like the recorded version. Yes, I'm a white guy.

  • Whitney don't compare to Patti. Case close

  • omg, this song is my love life story !!!!!!!!!

  • @chesneysimon No disrespect..but you are expressing your opinion about Whitney I love Patti as much as the next person however they are two very different exceptional vocalists Whitney is way better than Patti in some areas..and Patti is better than Whitney in some areas. Patti herself has said that Whitney is the 8th wonder of the world with that voice...in terms of success Whitney is way ahead of PAtti...and whitney's status as a legend is sodified in music history rather u like it or not

  • @phinetopsc i honestly have no idea why u decided to tell me this, I havent disputed any of the points you just made in the slightest

  • @mjnmjd whitney houston as vocalist alone is a legend and the fact she was able to turn that talent into a global phenomena makes the woman undoubtedly a legend. no taking numbers into account is foolishness, when u mention Michael jackson and the beatles you speak of their numbers. Donny hathaway is indeed great.

  • @chesneysimon, I mention MJ and the Beatles because they made great music NOT because they sold lots of records or made lots of money. "Donny Hathaway is indeed great" but most people have no clue who he is..Sad but true..He never achieved a lot of fame or success yet is a far better singer and musician than whitney or Celine could ever be. Point... Success does not always reflect talent.

  • @mjnmjd her voice alone counts her as a legend, what she has achieved takes her pass each and every one of them legends you mentioned. it doesn't matter which era she came from, whitney houston is a living legend, whether you choose to accept doesnt really matter, as there are people who are held in greater esteem than you and I who believe she is, so this argument is somewhat redundant.

  • @mjnmjd Actually Patt got emotional when Mariah sang it for her in '98. Plus Patti is her godmother.

  • I think SWV did a pretty good with this song as well.

  • @robertsnowden19 they did

  • Coko yelling is way better.

  • @Misshaircare2009 coko's voice is loud

  • @mjnmjd You are so right and on point. I wished they would stop mentioning these soft and barelycanholdanote singers of today. They in no way shape or form can hang with the likes of Patti, Natalie, Chaka, Angela, or Stephanie!

  • i have never heard this degree mix of grace AND power in one person, male or female.....most singers are more of one or the other......Luther Vandross = grace......mary j blige = power...etc..

  • Snoop Productions-Crying Inside

  • I've been listening to her since the early 60's and my GOD she can bring it like no one else on this planet...Whitney had this kind of power too for a time but wasted her gift, but god will bring her back to glory again... Stay BLESSED!!! PAtty

  • she sings with SO MUCH POWER!!!!!!OMG!!!!!!

  • I would be a scared if I was a mic, I cant even imagine her full range.

  • I love Patti, who is the child in the photos with her?

  • Honey that is her son Zuri

  • Thank you so much. I should have known by the love in her face.

  • @STORMYB Are you... are...you... the Diva? I can almost her voice as I read your words. Nah! Couldnt be! or...or... could it? Guess I will never really know. Life is so fun sometimes. LOL.l

  • SHE RIPPED IT LIKE ALWAYS!

  • Sing it Patti, same as my Daddy said when he embarrassed my momma when I was too young to know what was good . This is good. Thank GOD 4 U!!!!!

  • I got chills all over my body towards the end!!!

  • Sing Patti, ifff,,, iffffff, sing, sing!!! Nasty!!!!!

  • YOU BETTER SING GIRL!!!!! Sing! Sing!

  • Patti sings this song like no one's business. Sang Ms. Labelle.

  • She's so much better than any singer you can name -every last one of them- it's like she's showing off.

  • There was another vid of this actually showing her singing. I love hearing this rendition cause she takes it so sweet, and then she just let's you know at the end she will always bring it with fire.

  • love patti i the boy version of her
