  • How many people are there supposed to be, in order for it to be a big gig? like 500 or what?

  • Comment removed

  • Que gordo goma jajja

  • 4:30 winces as he realises it sounds naff :-)

  • Blah blah blah!

  • This is the reason why i get my demos from Pro Guitar Shop

  • bla bla bla

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz too much blah blah blah

  • Its kinda like you wont show us its full capability

  • Digging the Heritage.

  • shut up an dime the thing you stupid bastard

  • wow so much blah, blah, blah...

  • Um. Maybe you should have scripted the monologue. Riffing the review doesn't seem to be your thing. Also, thanks for making us see how a DRRI can sound like a Peavey.

  • Wow. Some of the Marty hate on here is ridiculous. He's an awesome teacher- hearing him give his take on the amp is great. Really want one of these amps (just got a Twin but too loud for home play).

  • Wouldn't it have been cool if instead of telling us about how it sounds cranked up, he would have actually cranked it up?

Yeah. Worst. Amp. Demo. Video. Ever.

    Ever.

  • Hi I got a really rare amp (2x12) i cant find any info on... i just know it was handmade in the uk maybe in the 80's .. wondering if people can check it out on my page and hopefully someone knows something about it and hopefully let me know how much its worth.

  • In australia we pay around $1800 for this amp! abt a grand more expensive...are they for real here..americans would send fender broke if that were the case over there.

  • What the fuck? Shut the fuck up about yourself and talk more about the amp.

  • what it comes down to is either you can play or you cannot play. All this talk about equipment man won,t make you sound like a hero. All it does is boost the resale market. Marty is the kind of musician that could make any product sound great

  • too much blah blah, play more!

  • they actually cost a $1000 not 800 unless you get one used

  • what about a Fender Twin Demo?

  • He starts playing @ 4:26

  • yousuck cock

  • always find your tutorials and reviews useful bro. i am looking for a lighter low watt amp to rehearse with etc...this was great!

  • Wow this guy's almost as much of a cock as the Line 6 Spider guy in the beenie hat.

  • Doesn't hurt at ALL that you have a Heritage H535 going into it. ;)

  • 話長過ぎ

  • I hate this guy

  • Then don't watch. its that simple

  • a big title there, suck a cock

  • what do you think of the hot rod deluxe marty

  • Thanks Marty! You're Awesome!

  • marty gives loads of great lessons for free , which is very cool , n he;s a nice guy , if you look at the people who make bad comments.. videos they;ve uploaded are invariably complete kak . negative comments from people that make a really bad noise that no one wants to hear . it;s a touch ironic

  • I usualy like your vids Marty, not this time. First of all your overdrive sucks, try pearl's blues screamer...That's the tone. And btw if you make a review please show us the full amp's features, advantages, disadvantages...You know THE STUFF. You dont even tell us what kind of speaker it has, tubes, does it come with some pedal controler? Do you have to switch the jack to the tremolo input if you want that effect? Just a little more in depth information would be appreciated. That's all.

  • your bush league bro grow up

  • I'm just exausted from all the guitar teaching..... so we're gonna talk about this tube amp.

  • 12`` speaker ?

  • ur fat marty

  • It really drives me nuts when people do demos and either talk for half of it or solo the entire time. Most songs have riffs, chords, even chugs. I want to hear real music. I am tired of image. This guy is more concerned on how he looks and being witty or funny than what the video is supposed to be about, which is to demo a amp. I don't care where you use it or what you do. Just play the damn thing.

  • @DakaiMusicVideo What planet are you watching this from, Dude.

  • Comment removed

  • @Distanceman55 Earth. So are you disagreeing with me? I don't understand what that is supposed to mean.

  • @DakaiMusicVideo Amen!

  • You really plug 4 guitars into a deluxe reverb? Wow, I dont think fender had intended for one of their most prized tube amps to be used like a PA

  • Can you male a demo on your Twin amp?

  • Can you make a demo on your Twin? I'm gonna buy it. Thank you

  • May the swartz be with you

  • earthquake...3:37

  • Playing Johnny Cash but acting like Elvis... Fail.

  • @Olithar xD yeah

  • Comment removed

  • @DanielAndriani10 neither this or the vox would honestly be great for the bands you mentoned. those are all classic marshall sounds. maybe check out the marshall class 5 or haze for more that sound on the cheap

  • i know but i dont like the haze and arent the class 5 really expensive ?

what other marshalls are there around the same price range?

  • I have one of the old ones designed by Rivera - pretty much the same but no trem. And everything you say is right - this is probably one of the most recorded amp - a clssic studio amp. I've not found that 22 watts is limiting - you want more, just smic it up through the PA. It does beutiful clean tone and some real dirty blues tones - no pedal needed, this is the real deal. This is my go to amp - does everything for any gig or lesson. Everyone loves the sounds.

  • 800 bucks for a 22 watt amp? i have a 20 watt vox amp that was under $200

  • @nonvlog be happy in switzerland they cost more than twice as much....

  • @nonvlog Yep - but if you had a Vox AC15 you'd be right up there at the same sort of price. Valve amps always cost a lot more but once you've heard one you'll never want to use a digital amp again. The good solid state stuff costs a lot more so you end up with the same sort of prices you'd pay for a valve amp. (Check out what a Roland JC120 would cost you.) I'd go valve every time. On a budget?- check out the Peavey Classic, or the Rivera Pubster 25.

  • @nonvlog wattage doesnt determine the price of an amp though...

  • @nonvlog Tube amps will always be more expensive than solid state amps because they're far more expensive to produce, and because these days they are considered have more desirable tonal qualities. Vox's tube amps are in the same range as this. an AC-15 costs about $600 and an AC-30 is about $1200. $800 for a quality 22watt tube amp is a very reasonable price.

  • only one input is supposed to be used at once...

  • gah such awful tone..these guys dont have a clue..

  • 4:25 to hear him play

  • this is fucking dog shit

  • @blackflaged666 Go away Troll.

  • Blablablabla....just play

  • I used to think these Fenders sounded good, but they sound like toys to me now. Compare with a Tungsten Crema Wheat or Vintage Sound Amp, or many others which make this sound like a transistor radio.

  • 5:19 hi :'DDDDD

  • That dude actually TEACHES guitar/??

  • Hello: Nice lessons Marty. About your amp, think that the channels are inverted and used at the same time is not a good idea as one channel can cancel the other due the out of phase thing. There is a mod around to set them on phase and at the same time adds reverb and vibrato to the channel one too (by only changing one cable). Cheers from Spain.

  • i like your videos, and i like your roundabout way of explaining things-it brings a certain kind of intensity to your explanation. why bother with pedals when you got that thing! i have the same one, but mine is an original,, and pedals, nahh. does your amp have the blackface circuitry like mine? your name isn't vinny is it?

  • i like your videos, and i like your roundabout way of explaining things-it brings a certain kind of intensity to your explanation. why bother with pedals when you got that thing! i have the same one, but mine is an original,, and pedals, nahh. your name isn't vinny is it?

  • how can you use this amp cranched up if usually the volume you're allowed to play at can't be that high? Plus you can play in a big venue with a 5 watts amp because amps are microphoned in big concerts halls. I cannot understand the need for a Twin when in bigger venues. I have played in many places, on many stages and I have never turned the volume of my twin above 3...the sound engineer would kill me if I did that.on the stage the volume tends to be quite low: people care about their ears.

  • @danlovesnan ,

    Hi Dan,

im just beginning, & wanting the 65 reissue twin reverb, Can you tell me if that is to much for my living room or bedroom ? Ive not used a tube before & my Crate sucks, I bought a 64 reissue LP Custom 335 & think this would be the perfect match. Any advice i sure appreciate,,, just gotta get a junior kimbrough tone,, :)

  • Do you prefer this fender 65 deluxe reverb ri to the princeton reverb ri?

  • are there any minor changes you would recommend to have done on the drri? I purchased one and although I like it, the high end seems to get harsher and unpleasing as the volume increases. Specific tube changes or speaker replacements that you would recommend? I hear that changing the bias on to 24mA is helpful as well. Any feedback would be appreciated.

  • @iceman91291

A harsh treble is most likely the speaker. Most speakers hower tend to soften up a little by aging, so a lot of playig will make it a little less harsher.

It can also appear harsh because your playing like alone in your room, normally in a band setup the harsness tends to get a little lost in the mix.

Lastly, a fender is a very bright amp, especially if you have a telecaster or strat. don't be afraid to use your guitars tone knob or your amps treble knob

  • Marty sounds weird saying "Nextlevelguitar" xD so used to hear him say "Guitarjam"

  • JUST FUCKIN PLAY THE AMP!

  • how can you tell if an amp is a tube/solid state?

  • @punkiassjunki It has glowing tubes in the back. But sound wise, tubes are warmer, and break-up, or distort at high volumes and still sound sweet.

  • Dude - I'm sincerely glad you're busy in your music business life... all the gigs you mention, the lessons, the running around and how great it is to be able to carry such a class amp/sound around with you... but.... could you please make your points more timely and succinct? That would be great! Other than that - fine review - nice sounds, fine playing. Thanks!

  • Sir, it's blasphemy not to use a Fender guitar on a Fender amp! For shame!

  • @themredweirdoshow , I would rather my sister work in a brothel,, than for my brother to play a fender guitar !

    Fender Amps Rock ! ,,,, :)))

    is there really a guitar other than a 335 !?? ,,,, no way ! ,, :)

  • @FIRECRACKER392 There are only two great guitars - a Fender Strat and a Gibson Les Paul. The Gibson is for mellow stuff (Allman Bros./Southern Rock), and the Fender for hard stuff (Hnedrix/Clapton). Other guitars can be good - like Rickys and some of the weird ones Santana plays - but then Santana makes anything sound cool. As for amps, Fender for smaller gigs, Marshall for stadiums.

  • there is a secret component he puts on his finger, taking it form his ear, did you see that? I wonder what that is...

  • Your not good at explaining things. FENDER AMPS ROCK!

  • My girlfriend says you look like cagney's husband off cagney and lacey. Apart from that consistently great stuff on youtube. Big up.

  • sounds muddy

  • Sorry if i missed it but what guitar are is being used?

  • why is he with next level guitar?

  • Not really a review or demo as title misleads- more like opinion "here's how I use this amp and OCD."

  • These things sound great. I played one and couldn't leave it.

  • nice vid , NOT , how can you fill 9 minutes with 1 minute worth of info ?

he did not showed all the inputs or the channels . he compared the amp with a solid state ? WTF ? people thinkin of buyin this know that it is more than a grand these days , so compare it to other grand amps ! only reason of use is its weight ??

go and sell shoes man , yr uninspired bullschit is too much

  • @isitcosimblack fuck you man dont dare dis this guy. he is the best guitar instructor on the internet. just cause you dont like this review, doesn't mean he should go away.. you should..because your most likely a lot less important and successful than him.

  • @MrRedwoodvalley i saw other vids of this man , and learned from them , no doubt .

this vid is uninspired bullshit , giving no info for people who are in doubt what to buy .'

more lickely i am less important ? if he , you and i drop dead on the spot , the world keeps turning , no doubt bout that either .

and the f words , well , say em in my face or shut up

  • Lovely sounding clean amp - not so good overdriven on this demo.

  • humbucker neck pickup plus volume on 8...nothing sounds better than that

  • Nice Delicious Reverb

  • wats so great about tube amps?

  • @CAP1997FURACAO its one of those things man that u have to see for urself..so much more warmth and bottom end..then again there are sum really great solid state amps to...but u know u should just try em out and see whats up...i suggest the vox vt amps..they're pretty cool

  • @nignoman2021 thanks man,im a beginner so this really helps i appreciate it Thank you!

  • @CAP1997FURACAO no problem bro..but yea like i said those Vox amps the VT series they're pretty cool..they're one tube modeled...sum people get the tone they want out of a tube amp..and some out of solit state it all matters what ur looking for..like what style you play..and to sum extent your level of skill

  • @nignoman2021 that amp sounded amazing, and how i think i found what i needed in it (: thanks man.

  • You do a lot of talking for a man with a guitar in his hands.

  • Great reveiw! Funny too.

  • I waited 4 and a half minutes to hear whack ass tone and the "i'm squeezing out a poopie" face while playing bland may-o-naise riffs...ugh

  • GAHD!!! 4 minutes in and he's not said or done anything ob substance.... ummm ahh ummmm....my gigs...um...name drop (of someone nobody knows)...ahhhh...ummmm....blah blah blah

  • GAHD!!! 4 minutes in and he's not said or done anything ob substance....

  • 2 minutes in and I'm falling asleep.....

  • that amp and guitar are way too good for that idiot. Why does next level guitar suck so bad?

  • Love both the clean and overdriven sound of this amp - decent demo dude

  • Doing a little Wes with the octaves, Nice ;-)

  • sheesh

  • You look like La Bamba from the Max Weinberg Seven

  • he better write a blog not doin' an amp demo

  • he talks too much

  • gear demo? deluxe reverb?

more like Fulltone OCD demo (with lots of cock-talking)

  • Marty, You are definitely a stand up guy. I play guitar in a three piece Jazz, blues, Pop band and have several of your CDs that have really helped me. I really value your opinion and am looking at changing my amp out and moving to the deluxe reverb. Thanks for thanking the time to provide honest insight.

  • can we say icepick without the mods? undersized transformer and suck sounding speaker. unless they've changed things other than the price in the last few years. we used to use a reverened altone 1250 speaker to kill the icepick. it did'nt take me long to part with it.

  • 6:24 ROFL!

  • The guy has a clean (ish) amp and he sticks a freakin' OD into it!

    Mate, just buy a Marshall!

  • SHUT THE FUCK UP AND PLAY!!!

  • stop talking!!

  • Thanks for demoing an overdrive pedal...lame review.

  • I agree that reverb is delicious!

  • Cool hat.Not sarcasm seriously its a cool fuckin hat. oh yeah and this amp is god. its also $999.99 sooooooo its gonna take a while before I can afford it.

  • first you talk about shit then you actually play something and its all shit........man that amp must be so embarrased,i bet it wished it had legs to run the fuck away from you

  • @ylju

    Are you mad?

  • 4 inputs.......fuck me

  • Stop muttering and play that amp

great you finally played and the first thing you played from a fender amp is some distorted rubbish? im really grateful for the video as its one of the few decent quality ones but cmon man attention to detail will get you happy viewers.

  • Love at 6:20

  • Yeah right. Marty Schwartz what are you doing here?

  • Please lose the poser retro hat.

  • what guitar is that?

  • This is a Heritage H535 guitar Sound better then Gibson ES 335 Dot.

  • @BluesBuddy100 Not everybody agrees on that.

  • I swear this guy looks like he's with the mafia.

  • @Wizmar Don't ask too many questions if yous knows whats goods for yous

  • @Wizmar You saw nothing, capiche?!

  • @Wizmar no way if he was a made man and talked that much they'd have killed him

  • @Wizmar I think he only looks like. If you take a look at his activity, howmany time could he have to be a bandit ? And if he was, why would he do that job? :o) And I'd like to wear the same hat.

  • Why do people talk for 4 and a half minutes before playing? Just say a basic intro and play the damn amp.

  • @KevinCube Thank you for warning me

  • Marty, I hope you continue with all of the info and the lessons, you are great. I have learned alot from your vides. I also have this amp. And I have a HR 410

  • Yeah. . more talking than we need to hear. . however this guy does give some of the best lessons on other videos.

  • Less talk, more play please.

  • The first 4 minutes and 27 seconds could have been edited out...

  • what a jackass. "It's convenient to have 4 guitars plugged into the same amp?"

That's the most idiotic thing I've ever heard someone say.

Plus, fatboy, no one gives a shit about your schedule. Play the amp and shut up.

  • @HappylandStudio well, if you gave lessons, you would understand.

  • just a bigger sound?? try fuller, richer, bottom end to die for, crank it past 6 or 7 and it's still clean as all get out!! the notes sail, but still clean as hell. If I crank her to 10 she will demo my house.. LOL..............

  • You kinda suck...

  • Awesome dude, what kind of hollow body is that. great tone. 57' classic pups??

  • @bossmxr1

    It's a Heritage.

  • dan this is the deluxe reverb..not sure if this reissue is hand wired point to point like the origional though..it may be just tubes and a pc board.

  • Yup, it's pcb.

  • I tried one and it has that awesome fender sound ...but not very versatile..now if it had the modeling that the super champ has....then i would have bought it..

  • They do, it's called a Deluxe VM (standing for 'Vintage Modified').

It has all the effects in place and has an overdrive section. Priced about the same as the above.

  • @chooseyourblues No. the vm doesnt have amp modeling just some effects like chorus and echo ,reverb ,tremelo etc..The Super champ has amp modeling in it plus effects but is only 15 watts...

  • @chooseyourblues . the VM has effects but doesnt have amp modeling like the Super Champ and from what I have looked at, the amp above is about 200 dollars more than the VM ($900+ vrs $700+)

  • what's the difference between this and the 65 Deluxe reverb amp?

  • is this the fender 65 deluxe?

  • they suck!

  • 8:40 of talking and 11 seconds of playing.

  • rough rough rough

    come on man play something

  • I like this guy's lesson, but good lord, just get to the point and demo the amp

  • The guitar that Marty is playing is called "The Heritage" Think they were made back in the '80s by some of the Gibson craftsmen that left when the company was at a low point. Damn nice guitars!

  • I want that guitar! what guitar is it? Thank you!

  • @LuXguitaR it's a Heritage ES335 ... it's a brand by gibson and they're around 1500 dollar

  • okey thank you! so its not that cheap ^^ hehe

  • Marty does a great job with this amp demo. I love the history of the amp and how and when he uses this amp. I have a Twin and am shopping for a smaller, lighter amp. He's a real pro. This is perfect for a someone who's seriously in the market for a new amp. Thanks Marty!

  • Ngulo comba quand cazz pirl! suona tuorloddio!

  • @copycontroller ahahahahahahha infatti schi, cussù parl parl , e sonèèè

  • just shut up and play something...

  • Why does he sound so defeated when he mentions the price? That's damn good for an amp like this.
