there are regulations that state how close together /far apart the bars need to be in order to be safe for babies so that they don't get stuck etc. If the bars are too far apart then yes, cribs can be dangerous but luckily most all are just fine and safe for baby.

If the cribs don't conform to them then they are recalled!
