The models in 4th D are unique and wonderfull to use. They come with plenty of entertaining weapons and different abilitys to the origional game. The mod also brings in extra explosions to spice up the plain recks.

Unfortunatly I beleive some models are a bit ugly and dont do enought justice fro the mod.

But this is definatly one of the best SupCom mod videos in youtube.

Pah, SupCom 1 had way too much variety, it was impossible to keep track of all the different and badass units it offered.

SupCom 2 is far superior, it adds a broken-ass research system, retardedly weak experimentals, about 9 land units for each faction, 3 air units for each faction, and slow-ass dogfights at that.

They did do the unit coordination and path-making better though.

@MushrooMars I actually liked the old games pathfinding, I hate the look in Supcom 2 where all of your units move in this perfect formation into battle (especially air units). I loved the rugged formation look of my army and the chaotic view of a the swarm of units

Do you mean how many mods can you have being used at once?

If so, while you can install as many mods as you want, units packs are the only type that can be activated at the same time as each other. 4th Dimension can only run by itself I think since it changes other areas of the game.

1. you need newest version of supreme commander. Patch your version.

2. follow the installation instructions in the readme of the mod.

3. deactivate all othe rmods. Some may not work together.

4. download version 1.9 for Supreme Commander. Higher versions dont exists for Supreme Commander, only FA.

if you would have searched a bit, you would have known that its a bug from the AI in vanilla. You need to download a fan made fix like Sorians AI or Duncans AI. Then you wont have any slow downs anymore...

@uTonceig I dont know if i got you right, but i can make an example of my hardware and i can tell you that i can play this mod very well in high details. I got an E6300 @ 3.0 Ghz, 4 GB ram and an ATI HD4850.The slowdown you descripe often comes from AI players because of a bug in the game. To fix this, you need custom made AIs like Sorian AI which you can download for free.

@OptimusPrimus81 I have taken sorian's ai and it's run very well. But on maps like Drakes Ravine (20x20 with 4 players) it keeps turn slow. Maybe, because i have set Popcap on 2000. But it's very harder as well... :)

I play with my friend over GPG against AI (yeah we are noobs) and the game break at the half. I can still give orders but the game didn't move anymore. Well... I bought a packard bell Ipower X2.0.

In norwegian currency it came up to about 10.000

Which is about 1400$ or 1000£.

Of course the price may be different from country to country considering almost EVERYTHING is more expensive in norway (cuz we got so much money lol).

The screen (if you were wondering about that) was bought at a price of 1650 (norway moneys), but i think that was a VERY special offer at the time.

All in all that would cost about 1160 £ (to lazy to convert into dollars).

I hope you dont use the default AIs which came with the game because they are buggish and will slow down every PC. Use fan made AIs like "Sorian AI". They are much better and dont slow your PC down.
