Joe was like a prophet. To think he went from being a fucking grave digger to one of the most respected musicians the world has and will ever see is just amazing. In his 5 year tenure with the original line up of The Clash, he changed the way we see and hear music.
Legends, all 4 of them but Joe was the man, awesome, does anyone know where i can get a t-shirt with the "old school punk" logo on it seen at the end of London Calling??, thats got to be one of the best designs ive seen for a tshirt
it seems Joe Strummer was a great people person generally intrested in the world community. Its a shame more people in this world don't have the time for the person on the street. over here in the uk there is alot of ignorance and dis-respect for your fellow human at the moment
to share a spliff with Joe...I was lucky enough to meet him in 2002 about a month before he died. I was a little 10 year old and he opened my eyes to just how wonderful life can be.
bigboredthing you are lucky you were 10 when you met him I was 3 and so I dont remember it but he did say I was the youngest clash fan he had ever met apparently, I was lucky enough to inherit my parents great taste in music!
mick gonna be sad as paul........joe=john.L.......but damn!i wish ,i say at the show..and the mick and paul ,shit. Was like not in a mean way.........they,I bet had those unborn brother blood moment,,,like john & paul..

The most important thing we can take from what Strummer gave us is that we must stand for what we believe.
If we don't we have cheated ourselves and we have cheated the world.
Be what you believe.
As said by Leonard Peltier:
"......What you do is who you are.
You are your own comeuppance.
You become your own message.
You are the message."

Some people are immortal. Their bodies die, but their inspiration won't. One is Bob Marley, another is Joe Strummer definitely.

Too the coolest mobsters in Key Town,
with the hardest eyes, and the crulest tone
Is your hearts a made of rock,...
...are you listening mobsters ...
It's food for thought mobsters, young people shoot their days away I've seen talent thrown away!
Are you loan shark? we all can play and they dance to the brand new beat
Pressure Increase, Wearin' me down...
Can't you feel it don't ignore it...
Strummer is still out there rockin'em with passion.
