Sheriff Paul Babeu just appeared on The Political Cesspool, a white nationalist radio show, to promote SB1070. He even called the host a "great American." I think that should lay to rest all doubts that this new law is about race.

This law allows officers to check the immigration status of anyone who is stopped by the police FOR SOME OTHER SEASON SUCH AS speeding or jaywalking. The law itself says that officers cannot racially profile the suspect and that's of course bullshit because no officer is going to ask a white guy with no accent for papers or take him to immigration jail for not providing residency papers. The target of this hate-filled bill are Hispanics.
@upsettingthetown Yeah! Showing political dissent is sooo 1960's and worn out! Only time you should express your opinions is quietly in the voting booth.
There aren't enough stories about the number of people being detained and then found to be legal citizens of America. But I wan't to hear stories of cops stopping someone and then finding out that person actually does have their birth certificate on them. Someone should upload a video of that. Let's laugh at AZ cops together!
Yeah, it's kinda funny. But once in a while you get that cop that's just fishin' and fishin' and you get the feeling like they don't wanna drive away unless you're in their backseat. Those are the guys and freak me out.
Just being pulled over doesn't mean you're being racially profiled. But there are ways you can tell egit the stop is like the questions the cop asks you, or what he's stopping you for. If he says they stopped you for speeding and you were doing 3 mph over, profiling might be the real cause. If they start asking you questions as if they're assuming you're coming from a specific location that's a ways away, but your ethnicity "matches" folks they find there, that's another tip-off.
@joshpnw I see your point, but think using SD as an example was a poor choice. I have seen exactly what you are referring to in the south. It is very, very, segregated down there. I gave a black co worker a ride home to his neighborhood, and he told me that I was safe as long as I was with him, and not to stop any where on my way out.
@joshpnw LOL it's been so long i had to google it. logan heights. wow, what a pussy. i used to work there in that little plaza next to the coronado bridge ramp... you know the one with the murals around the tennis courts... i got off the trolly at barrio logan every day for two years, and been all over that area.
so i am now and have been 100% sure you are full of shit. your just a limpdick racist.
sorry :[
btw, i went to mar vista, and yes i am from san diego.
@joshpnw you are a joke! You are taliking about Imperial and Euclid? If that is the best you can do? Maybe you are too scared to go there cause there are black people there, but there are asians, whites, and hispanics that live there, too. That neighborhood is nothing compared to other places in the country. Try Detroit, west Philly, 5th ward in Houston, New Orleans, and Cincinatti. Dont try to paint SD as some hood to make yourself look tough.
@joshpnw would you like me to attack your typing mistakes? is that all you got? keyboard warrior? you just proved my point again.
ok, so let's assume that i'm not from san diego. i just want to visit. tell me which neighborhoods to avoid.
you can't. you won't. you keep dodging the question, putting up red herrings like "you won't understand if your not from here," or "you made a typing mistake."
GET TO THE POINT fucko. how racists are you, exactly?
Bullshit. That'sexactly what this immigration bill is is racial profiling. I'll bet you my mortgage they will only use this law against Mexicans or people that 'look' illegal. What the hell do you call that?
Translation: PLEASE don't make us look like idiots. I mean...if you see a big latino guy driving an expensive car, just make sure it's not Bill Richardson before hauling him out and frisking him for drugs.
You would know it was something real if the "new" law was: 5yrs for owners and CEO's per "ILLEGAL". US citizenship for Social Services and education. THAT WAS EASY. The problem then fixes its self. This is all BS for agenda's like "National ID", amnesty / immunity, and votes for f*ctards who don't represent the people.
@delreydavid yeah... it would to a small extent. i was exaggerating a little bit. i've literally never heard of that actually happening. i have some friends that live there too.
@joshpnw your saying that these so called "off limit" neighborhoods are only reserved for people who are from sd? don't give me your bullshit gangster politics either. i know it all too well.
you don't just get jumped because your in the wrong neighborhood, you have to do something first, like piss someone off. like you are pissing me off.
i bet YOU aren't allowed in a lot of neighborhoods.
@joshpnw no thats not common sense, thats racist paranoia...because its a "black" area doesn't necessarily mean its dangerous, if it is dangerous, doesn't mean one would be inevitably be attacked...you can be mugged in the rich white part of town, common sense is taking reasonable precautions, and keeping the actual risk in mind, rather writing off whole sections of a community
The problem is they have yet to define what standards on which they can stop people, i.e. what the hell does "looking like an illegal immigrant" mean...this is open door for racist attitudes to manifest themselves
"We're gonna get accused of racial profiling whether or not we do it, so do it, but dont get CAUGHT doing it - always appear like you're not racially profiling, especially if you are."
I used to subscribe to this channel, when they were doing honest filtering of media clips. SInce then they (TPMTV) have become more interested in creating a national media profile for themselves, getting their "reporters" on tv, and they do nothing but watch tv to be called "reporters". What a joke. Study on study.
show me somebody not guilty of making an assumption about someone because of their appearance and ill show you a blind person-its humanly impossible to not judge someone because of the way they look- train officers to not make assumptions only on race- -they should know better or not be a damn cop! but if the illegals would stay the hell out of the us until they could come in legally and be part of the us instead of an invading leeching horde of criminals we wouldnt have this problem!
@GrandArchitect3D - It certainly does inform the officers of what they may need to do should they be caught at racial profiling while applying SB 1070.
It's not a cancer. It's no more of a cancer than legal immigration was 100 years ago when it was easy to come here.
I live in AZ. It's not dangerous here and statistics back that up, our crime is going down, and it was never really higher than average to begin with.
These people take huge risks, a lot of effort, and spend a lot of money to get here. They don't want to fuck it up, so they do what we want them to-work, be honest, and respect us.
Whether or not racial profiling occurs or not is not the problem. The problem is the perception of racial profiling by the public both inside and outside of the state of Arizona. If Arizona loses tourists then the state will not be able to hire more police officers or by more equipment for the officers who are working for the state today.
That is true. It's totally about perception, and that's what worries me. I think a lot of these cops have a very limited, extreme idea of what racial profiling is and they have already shown that here in AZ in a lot of cases.
Anyone can be MISTAKENLY profiled. A guy who looks like me could commit a crime and I could become a suspect, maybe even get charged with it. But that is not the same as RACIAL profiling people. I hope they understand that difference.
@IAMtheNewWorldOrder - My post was sarcastic. I am totally opposed to racial profiling, and this video makes it clear how little concern there is in Arizona on the part of law enforcement. They are ONLY concerned about the perception and how that will affect their budget and their salaries.
Well it didn't sound sarcastic and it also didn't sound like you supported the bill. It sounded like you had a problem with it, and you had a good insight in to why you had a problem with it.
@IAMtheNewWorldOrder - Right. It is awfully difficult to make sense of the thread with all these posts. The video is deceptive and dangerously clever.
It really is. I think racism & fascism are kind of thriving under this new revelation they have had that as long as they don't explicitly say the wrong things, they can still execute their agendas. They all understand the code.
This racist law will be struck down just like California's Prop 187. For appealing to the teabaggers in her state, Brewer will be disgraced in history much like Peter Wilson in California. The Republicans will lose the Hispanic vote forever, and the Republican Party, after a generation, will die in Arizona much like it has in California. This is probably the dumbest self-inflicted wound to the Republican Party in awhile.
Oh god this is fucking pathetic. They're pre-excusing everyone. "No matter what, people will say we are racial profiling."
This shouldn't have ANY opinions in it. Only information. "THIS is racial profiling. THIS is what you don't do, THIS is what you can do."
If you watch a training video at Burger King they don't say "Customers will say you messed up their order even if you got it right. You are working hard to make their sandwich, and you know you never mess up an order."
"look we got a black guy and a hispanic, of course we arent racist." really throws us off the trail with that dude in the middle telling us hes felt the pain of racial profiling
@hossboss96 Can anyone tell me what "racial profiling" actually IS??? because they didn't define it? I think "racial profiling" is whenever a white officer arrests a non white criminal, so the criminal tries to get out of trouble by accusing people of "racial profiling"
@strong8action no exactly it is basically any officer profiling a certain race more than other because of the suspect that they are more criminal than other races...
My experience with racial profiling is getting pulled over NOT for doing something wrong, but because of what I look like..
After it becomes obvious that not only I'm I NOT ILLEGAL, and NOT A GANG MEMBER.. then the cop refers to "I thought you seatbelt was off" or "Your plate wasn't visible" or any other pity last minute excuse
So yes.. it's easy to say "What racial profiling" if you have NEVER been racially profiled.. but when it happens... it's sick and WRONG
@2bRealist Same thing happened to me and my brother in South Dakota. Their excuse was that my brothers license plates didn't come up in his computer. They were specialty plates that said Seahawks on it!
I'm Arikara (Native American) and I want to go to Arizona so I can start my lawsuit against them and collect lots and lots of money!
@2bRealist You sound like my friend kenny, always bitching about how he's been the victim of "racial profiling" because a white cop pulled him over. Naturally, when challenged on how he "knew" the cop was racially profiling, kenny couldn't answer. He's been conditioned to think he's a victim of racism when, in fact, the car wasn't in his name & his tags were expired! Besides, if people "of color" stoped commiting crimes at three times the rate of whites, racial profiling would be irrelevant.
who is the guy at 0:53 telling us what he knows? There is no title for who is or what his job is. He does not state clearly what side of racial profiling he is on. Whats the point of him in the video?
@Gwish -- it seems now that some African-Americans are in desperate need for finances. So much, they have forgotten the experience of being racially profiled. Look up Ward Connerly and Affirmative Action, he is the front man to eliminating this law. In my opinion, Connerly sold-out and is being paid by the hate groups. Now a days, it is a game of coincidence to see the foot-steps of these hate groups. What a coincidence that Connerly is black and an educator.
This country was founded on the idea that we cannot trust authority with power, this is precisely why the bill of rights was made. We the people must be allowed to criticize the government, we must be allowed our privacy from government intrusion, our beliefs cannot be legislated, we must be able to arm ourselves against the government, government accusation must be made publicly and tried against our own peers, punishment cannot be inhumane. This law violates these rights.
Did anyone notice that at about 1:10 he was telling officers how to get away with racial profiling, e.g. falsifying reports, fabricating IA reports, and false testimony? I'm not saying that was his intention though.
@kaysandesses - I think that he was trying to build rapport with them, to show them that he understands how they operate and has walked in their shoes.

They imported themselves = they can deport themselves.
I'm sure most of them can find their way home all by themselves.
The ones who can't, can be deported - If Mexico can deport 250,000 illegals a year - the United States should easily be able to triple that amount.
Also - Why isn't Obama suing Mexico?
Their immigration policies are much harsher than Arizona's.

I guess Im just kinda numb to the racial profiling thing. It's happened to me so much at this point I just expect it.

Racial profiling is bad, Mkay?
stochasticmonk 1 year ago
Just being pulled over doesn't mean you're being racially profiled. But there are ways you can tell egit the stop is like the questions the cop asks you, or what he's stopping you for. If he says they stopped you for speeding and you were doing 3 mph over, profiling might be the real cause. If they start asking you questions as if they're assuming you're coming from a specific location that's a ways away, but your ethnicity "matches" folks they find there, that's another tip-off.

Something tells me this could use some context.

@joshpnw I see your point, but think using SD as an example was a poor choice. I have seen exactly what you are referring to in the south. It is very, very, segregated down there. I gave a black co worker a ride home to his neighborhood, and he told me that I was safe as long as I was with him, and not to stop any where on my way out.
delreydavid 1 year ago
@joshpnw LOL it's been so long i had to google it. logan heights. wow, what a pussy. i used to work there in that little plaza next to the coronado bridge ramp... you know the one with the murals around the tennis courts... i got off the trolly at barrio logan every day for two years, and been all over that area.
so i am now and have been 100% sure you are full of shit. your just a limpdick racist.
sorry :[
btw, i went to mar vista, and yes i am from san diego.
OliverKillborne 1 year ago

Also, I love how he actually gives advice on how to avoid getting fired for racial profiling.

@joshpnw you can't say you warn "new people" about the dangerous neighborhoods and then go oh, you not from here so you won't understand.

Richardgwm 1 year ago 2

That was good, right? They were training their officers not to profile based on race. Good for them.

What is the statute or codes that cover racial profiling?
Is racial profiling a training syllabus, a misdemeanor or a felony?
Does the officer get a slap on the wrist, jail time or a prison sentence?

I support Arizona 100 percent for defending themselves against the cancer of illegal immigration.
The law has NOTHING to do with race or color.
tradernorton05 1 year ago
@tradernorton05
It's not a cancer.
IAMtheNewWorldOrder 1 year ago
Whether or not racial profiling occurs or not is not the problem. The problem is the perception of racial profiling by the public both inside and outside of the state of Arizona. If Arizona loses tourists then the state will not be able to hire more police officers or by more equipment for the officers who are working for the state today.
gamoonbat 1 year ago
@gamoonbat
IAMtheNewWorldOrder 1 year ago
@IAMtheNewWorldOrder - My post was sarcastic. I am totally opposed to racial profiling, and this video makes it clear how little concern there is in Arizona on the part of law enforcement. They are ONLY concerned about the perception and how that will affect their budget and their salaries.
gamoonbat 1 year ago
@gamoonbat
Well it didn't sound sarcastic and it also didn't sound like you supported the bill. It sounded like you had a problem with it, and you had a good insight in to why you had a problem with it.

Jujuman2003 1 year ago 3
Oh god this is fucking pathetic. They're pre-excusing everyone. "No matter what, people will say we are racial profiling."
This shouldn't have ANY opinions in it. Only information. "THIS is racial profiling. THIS is what you don't do, THIS is what you can do."
If you watch a training video at Burger King they don't say "Customers will say you messed up their order even if you got it right. You are working hard to make their sandwich, and you know you never mess up an order."

One question: How long is the "racial profiling" section of the training video?

hossboss96 1 year ago
@hossboss96 Can anyone tell me what "racial profiling" actually IS??? because they didn't define it? I think "racial profiling" is whenever a white officer arrests a non white criminal, so the criminal tries to get out of trouble by accusing people of "racial profiling"
strong8action 1 year ago
@strong8action no exactly it is basically any officer profiling a certain race more than other because of the suspect that they are more criminal than other races...
robinvan1983 1 year ago
@strong8action
2bRealist 1 year ago 2

Besides, if people "of color" stoped commiting crimes at three times the rate of whites, racial profiling would be irrelevant.

gamoonbat 1 year ago
@gamoonbat yes, why is the negro in the video?
Gwish 1 year ago
