Now these soldier could asume that this m18a1 could only be used for anti personel reasons but like all good americans they learned that it can be used for so many more things. They in one second seperated all the components for recycling. They learned that if they don't have C4 blocks they have a gauge of what a claymore can destroy. TM and FM are not LAW they are guides, fm 7-8 is not law just a starting point to develop yourself and your team
i find it astonishing that such a little box can make such a big BOOM!!!! very good video, and all you troops have my respect (:
@StreetArtillery its not like all the military does is play with explosives all day long, its really pathetic how retards like you can find something negative out of just about ANYTHING so please, shut up
@StreetArtllery for that weapon after seeing what it did to that washing machine, just the same way respected the AT-4 after seeing it fired on the range and the M203 40mm Grenade Launcher. If soldiers don't have that respect for the weapons that we use then someone can get hurt, plus you "train like you play and play like you trian" nice video odiedog52!
@StreetArtllery If the use of one M18A1 Claymore on a washing machine while at the range upsets you I would really hate to have seen what you would have said if you seen our unit at the range...it was nothing for my company to have to dispose of 1,500-2,500 rounds of M855 Ball ammution. The simple fact of things are that we train how to use our weapons and if we have nothing to shoot at or blow up then our training isn't as effective. I am sure that everyone there had a whole new respect

Good to see how taxpayers money is being used. That device is not cheap and not free. I would like to see these soldier´s retarded faces when some ranking officer jokingly tells them that that claymore mine was coming off their next paychecks.
@StreetArtillery ...So we can't pratice with our weapons? "Here's your M4, boys... These bullets are so expensive that we can't even learn how to shoot the gun! So go out into battle and only use it when you are absolutley sure you can drop a haji in one shot!"
@StreetArtillery yeah..wouldn't it be a bitch if they saved their claymores for the right moment, and then the detonator failed? well at least they saved money.
@StreetArtillery Claymores aren't very expensive and this was a training range. Our group was given X amount of claymores and we went over employing and detonating them. The claymore could have been pointed at nothing or we could have had a bit more fun with it and we blew something up that was on the range. We were exactly within the limits of our instructions and there was both a senior NCO and a higher ranking officer at the range with us.

@odiedog52 Really? Tell us then, How much exactly does a claymore cost? If that was within the limits of your instructions and there was a senior NCO, you wouldn´t mind giving us your name and your NCO´s name so that I send that information along with this video to the Secretary of Defense of The United States of America. You wouldn´t mind that, would you?
@StreetArtillery Really. A claymore costs around $250. Compared to all the other equipment and weapons we have and use, that is very cheap. As said, we were at a range where we were practicing the fundamentals of employing and detonating claymores, which we did and we had a good time doing it. It's no different than if we were at an AT-4 range or a Javelin range which cost $1480 and $165,000 respectively, shooting at debris like old wash machines or tanks. The training was effective.
@StreetArtillery but no, I will not give you the name of anyone on that range with me or anyone who served with me for matters of PERSEC and the fact that you do not need to know. Even if you did have the names, SECDEF wouldn't care nor would it be a blip on his (or anyone's) radar. We had good, effective training in the employment and detonation of M18A1 Claymore Anti-Personnel Mines.
@odiedog52 That was a great response. I'm not sure I would have been as dipolmatic as you were with streetartillery. I "am" sure some money conscious anti-war types out there would just love for you to have to employ your weapons for the first time when you get down range. You guys hang tough.
@StreetArtillery I'm sorry you're so stupid and have no understanding of how training works. Maybe you have a better idea? Like using pretend explosives where instead of a real boom, a flag pops out that says "boom" accompanied by maybe a loud snap of some kind? Besides, who do you think manufactures most of this shit? American factories. So this money goes back into the economy. And quit trying to be the hall monitor with that "who's your NCO?" What the fuck do you think you're gonna do?
@TMmaster4 When they're not working 15 hour shifts 6 days a week. Otherwise yeah, they have to do something to make the day go by. It's not very fun being in Iraq bro.
in cod 4 mw/mw2 almost everything is underpowered. mostly the explosives and sniper rifles. if a claymore does that to a washing machine , just imagine what it would do to a person
it's not inside of it it's right in front of it, with a 4 inch think piece of bulletproof glass on our side of it. Claymores aren't all that impressive by themselves, which is why I have it so close. We had already detonated several of them and for the last one, we felt like blowing up the washing machine.
Quit bitching at the soldiers. If you want it done differently get your ass over there and show them.

That was neat. A little less spectacular than the grenade in a washing machine video, since we didnt get to see actual debris fly.
But still neat in its own right.
