@100bofojr For sure - you are programming the remote to the box - the connection to the TV has no impact at all. Hope you were able to get it to work.

@setteriaus whoa - you got me on that one. I honestly haven't messed with this since I made this video. I don't think this is possible since the DirectV remote doesn't have an eject button. Thinking about it - if you're ejecting a disc you're going to have to get up anyways so there wouldn't be much since to need this on the remote (unless I am missing something - like you're a great disc thrower!) :)
@BuddhasEarlobe Sup man- no such thing as a stupid question to me. I really don't use my remote much since I always put the controller on top of the Xbox (my wife is a neat freak) Anyways, I can only confirm the navigation, select, and power buttons work. Hope that helps ya!
@dhide14 Lets say your controller is 10 ft away from your xbox and you didn't dish out the $30 for the xbox controller. You can use your DirecTv remote control to turn your xBox on instead of walking the 20ft - simple right? Consider it my contribution to obesity in America :)

@elamorro - hey ya. I have quite a bit of sports channels in my lineup but since we are in different regions they will not match up. I have two recommendations. 1. Press Menu > Smart Search > then type in the word ' sports ' - this should bring up all your sports channels. 2. Call DirecTv and ask them what you have already subscribed to and if they dont have what you are looking for in your current lineup, ask if they have any sports networks you can add. Good luck with that.

Never done it but I would assume you can get the codes by following the video but instead of choosing DVD you choose Directv Receiver. Of course, you would have to do this from the receiver menu buttons since the remote isn't working. Good luck!
