So many nights out, so many great tunes (no sampled easy make trash throw away sounds), don't like getting old but would not have missed the seventies for anything. Where men were men and the ladeez were a sight to behold....... Beam me up Scottie!!
Disco Ball 9 @ Trump Taj Mahal Casino Atlantic City NJ on Sat Oct 16, 2010. Starring live Gloria Gaynor, Rob Parissi of Wild cherry, santa esmeralda starring leroy gomez, the trammps featuring earl young, norma jean wright & luci martin formerly of chic, anita ward, linda clifford, lime, musique, rose royce, sugar hill gang, peaches and herb, original village people cowboy randy jones, wcbs fm dj joe causi, smokin joe frazier. the biggest classic 70s disco live concert ever. r u goin babe?
Yeah ~ Summer 1974 ~ wow ~ loads of great trax came through then ..... George McCrae, loads of KC stuff, Hues Corporation, Stylistics, TSOP, 3 Degrees, loads of this Gamble/Huff Philly stuff & the "late, great" Teddy Prendergast "If U Don't Know Me" .... and ... and......
I agree barrio, my wife wouldn't like that. Nor would she like the thought of running neck and neck with another woman. My baby - she's a winner by a distance!
I dunno, but it puts me in mind of Kenny Everett when he used to do his "country bumpkin" act on Top of the Pops. He once got in trouble for saying that one of the Pan's People dancers had had "a calf -sorry! a baby" and someone wrote to the BBC saying "that's the same as calling her a cow".
remember this so fondly , my first holiday without my mam and dad ,just me , my mates neil and steve and a few girls we knew, Blackpool UK 1974 oh happy days, thanks for posting pal
@iGuy101 What moron has to comment that they don't like this. Don't you wish they would grow up! My wife gradually learned to hate me when I did things like get the kids to sing My baby is a Whaler!! instead of the proper words. Another one was that song from Dirty Dancing - we used to sing - She's got the Wind. A bit more seriously now - I'm off to listen to Sad Sweet Dreamer next and then I'm off to find their other biggie Purely by Coincidence. Best wishes
Really nice soul dance song. Wasn't it released in the UK in 1974? It's just that I've got a compilation album of songs from that year and this song is featured on it.
Thanks or the comment. The answer to your Question is no this track came out in 1972 on Epic (CBS) records in the U.K, my copy is a promo DJ release, you will probably find that's just the year it was complied with the other track on the album, it's a great track.
AT LAST!!! THANK YOU iGuy101. Been waiting for someone to upload this for ages. A classic Philly song - great vocals too. A truly happy, uplifting song which was a hit here in England in the mid-70's. I don't think it even made the charts in the US. If true, then what's wrong with them??? Thanks again.
Good memories laying on the beach in Belgium and listening to the dutch off shore pirate radio station Veronica. Everything was fine those locky days in the 70's..
Thanks for the kind comments, this one is one of my favourites. I hoping to find my copy of "I'll always love my mama" soon and upload that , another great tune with that classic Intruders philly sound

The subtle vocal phrasing of the lead is what makes this song stand out.
