hey hod , how do you get such a heavy sound in the begining? youre obviously playing on the 5th string and youre getting the same sound as if you were playing on the 6th string dropped to A.

@Apersonnamedbob actually, his guitar is tuned standard, but he edited the audio so the low E is an A when necessary. Matthew Bellamy plays this on a 7 string guitar with the B string tuned down to A though, so you can tune the E down but the string will be very loose
@CODMW219 When Matt Bellamy plays it he uses a 7 string. I tried using my octave changing pedal (it's built in to my BOSS ME50) and it doesn't sound right.
@dclaver2 oh well i have a whammy pedal and a boss PS-5 super shifter and the boss one is a bit better because it keeps most of the tone and heavyness that you would get with a thicker string. how is the ME50? i was thinking of getting either that or the ME70
@Apersonnamedbob Its actually meant to be in drop A, MAtt uses his manson 7 string to play it but you can play it fine using a 6 string....just drop low E to A. Best getting some thick gauge strings first:P

Uve got to throw down that bottom string till its pretty loose, definitely recommend using an electronic tuner because its pretty difficult to get right without. I have a question: I know you've taken lessons, but what exactly are you trained in, Jazz, Rock, classical, all three? Also, did you happen to take those Rockschool examinations (which should really f'in be in Canada by now..)?
I'd say it was more of a jazz training. I mean, I've been taught scale theory, modes and all that jazz (see what I did there?), but I can't read a music sheet yet (though I'm the one to blame here, really), and I know nothing about counterpoints and all...
Also, I don't know what a Rockschool examination is!
@hod2tube Ha. ha. nice pun >_>'. But wow, that's really impressive considering you don't read music. As for the Rockschool, I assumed you lived somewhere in UK, so they have these standardized examinations for rock guitar there. (Pretty much like the piano grade stuff, but with rock guitar)
I used to reply to some of the tabs requests I've had in the past, but I've found that I really got no satisfaction in tabbing solos and handing them out; I've felt that people would never get better that way. So I'll propose you this: try to tab it yourself and eventually send me your final version so I can add my own corrections.
