Not true. Most people that install Vista on a Mac install it because they have programs and what not that can only run on Vista. Some people are just afraid to start using a new operating system, so they will get Vista.

With my PC I can just upgrade it with a 600NZD or so part, instead with a Mac you'll have to buy a whole new computer. Bootcamp was out a long time ago, and in order for Safari 3 to be the world's best browser, there needs to be substantial evidence that it exceeds firefox in some way or another. So far, it IS just your opinion. Safari is slow and freezes a lot more than firefox does.
O, I just looked it up. The time machine program works by copying every single file onto a backup drive. So basically, you can have your own 'Time Machine' by copying everything. All Apple did was make it automated.
true, but time machine only copies things when you change them, and keeps the un-modified ones. this would take a long time to do it manually. There are virus's for mac, just not as many. The mac interface is way easier to use and there are less bugs with it's software/operating system. It also has better video, images, audio editing software.
Macs are not less flexible. They are more complex to get complex tasks done with though. They have less software and expensive hardware. And nobody develops viruses for them, they are not intrinsically more secure.
you still have to worry about viruses there just aren't as many because there aren't as many mac uses in the past. A lot of people purchase a mac thinking their mac is virus proof without a decent antivirus you could still end up with a virus if you're still not careful.
Actually, I've not heard of a single Mac virus. While I'm certain that someone could make a virus for the Mac, there are no Mac viruses. So, why would you need an anti-virus program for it?
Common Misconception, While it may use quite a lot of memory for Caching, That Memory does not (or certainly should not) affect anything you are running. Say you have 2GB of RAM, Vista will start up and Cache things like Icons and anything else to 1GB of that RAM, Now say you open Photoshop and it needs 1.8 GB of memory (Probably Won't) Vista's Cache will Shrink to the remaining 0.2GB...
... Giving the program what it needs, Though you will notice a tiny bit of adverse performance with things like Explorer, though you probably won't notice.
But as it turns out, Apple fail hard at making drivers for Windows, so Vista is pretty crap when you run it on Apple hardware.

I think so... Mac's run each program on a seperate drive space, so they don't lagg in the way windows do... thats just one example of their better logic, when you get iLife with you Mac you discover what you can do and its amazing... I will say that paint is an awesome windows program, and i am a windows user, but i still back Mac's i love em every time i use them!
my pc doesn't lag. I paid $600 for a laptop with 2gb of ram, 256mb geforce graphics, and dual core processor. This is a 3 year old laptop btw. you can't even get a base model mac for that price.
absolutely they are worth the money...have you ever successfully inserted a graphic anything into MS Word and have it not completely throw the entire document off? Macs are more intuitive and better looking. Not only does the 'extra' money go for actually useful software, but also the hardware (aluminum) and usability. Support in the USA too. I love Excel and am proficient with PCs but i will never buy one for myself again no matter the power or price - you buy the same machine every time.

Bootcamp was out a long time ago, and in order for Safari 3 to be the world's best browser, there needs to be substantial evidence that it exceeds firefox in some way or another. So far, it IS just your opinion. Safari is slow and freezes a lot more than firefox does.

O, I just looked it up. The time machine program works by copying every single file onto a backup drive. So basically, you can have your own 'Time Machine' by copying everything. All Apple did was make it automated.

true, but time machine only copies things when you change them, and keeps the un-modified ones. this would take a long time to do it manually. Also, the Safari thing, it seems to be the best, not by appearance, but by the underground workings, the behind-the-scenes. It is written much better, and has better programming. they are both very different.

There are virus's for mac, just not as many. The mac interface is way easier to use and there are less bugs with it's software/operating system. It also has better video, images, audio editing software.

Macs are not less flexible. They are more complex to get complex tasks done with though. They have less software and expensive hardware. And nobody develops viruses for them, they are not intrinsically more secure.

you still have to worry about viruses there just aren't as many because there aren't as many mac uses in the past. A lot of people purchase a mac thinking their mac is virus proof without a decent antivirus you could still end up with a virus if you're still not careful.

Actually, I've not heard of a single Mac virus. While I'm certain that someone could make a virus for the Mac, there are no Mac viruses. So, why would you need an anti-virus program for it?

Common Misconception, While it may use quite a lot of memory for Caching, That Memory does not (or certainly should not) affect anything you are running. Say you have 2GB of RAM, Vista will start up and Cache things like Icons and anything else to 1GB of that RAM, Now say you open Photoshop and it needs 1.8 GB of memory (Probably Won't) Vista's Cache will Shrink to the remaining 0.2GB...

i use XP but i would rather use Leo pard. It has a much better UI and uses less Ram and looks better. Plus iLife is an amazing feature.

Just letting you know, that Windows 7 is essentially Windows Vista, with a new name. The hardware requirements, kernel, DRM, etc. are exactly the same in both versions.

ANd besides, if it WERE a photoshop job, then this person would be extremely talented. And... they wouldn't have even used photoshop... They would have used a series of animation programs to create individual frames in the modeling reel. That kind of thing takes work, time, and much, ,much more than photoshop

I think so... Mac's run each program on a seperate drive space, so they don't lagg in the way windows do... thats just one example of their better logic, when you get iLife with you Mac you discover what you can do and its amazing... I will say that paint is an awesome windows program, and i am a windows user, but i still back Mac's i love em every time i use them!

my pc doesn't lag. I paid $600 for a laptop with 2gb of ram, 256mb geforce graphics, and dual core processor. This is a 3 year old laptop btw. you can't even get a base model mac for that price.

absolutely they are worth the money...have you ever successfully inserted a graphic anything into MS Word and have it not completely throw the entire document off? Macs are more intuitive and better looking. Not only does the 'extra' money go for actually useful software, but also the hardware (aluminum) and usability. Support in the USA too. I love Excel and am proficient with PCs but i will never buy one for myself again no matter the power or price - you buy the same machine every time.
