  • el family es la nes nomas que es una consola diferente pero el mismo juego

  • yo tengo el double dragon 2 en mi family y ese es el capitan planeta

  • is the music original game music or did u have music playing in the background?

  • CAPTAIN PLANET

  • should of just used fraps to record then upload to youtube

  • Can you send me the music from :58 on? That is so awesome!

  • @samuraijack18 it's hosted at the OCRemix just google it and it will take you to the side, just search Double Dragon remixes. While you look for it, enjoy the other Double Dragon music in there by fans.

  • I love the music @ 0:58 !

  • I love the music!

  • dude the boss song , i want it

  • there are dog sounds

  • "Screw the rules, I have green hair!"

  • where i donwload this version of dd2???

  • rocky rocky rocky..listen 2 the backround!

  • badass music

  • WHERE DO U GET THIS GAME!!!!!!!

  • The First Time In My Life That Was So Exited It Wasn't For A Woman But For The Sound Versus Final Boss Of Double Dragon

La Prima Volta Nella Mia VIta Che Fui Così Eccitato Non Fu Per Una Donna Ma Per Il Sound Contro Il Boss Finale Di Double Dragon

  • The guy who made this used the boss from DD2 on the NES.

I've played this DD Extreme and it is pretty shitty. The guy who made it took out the kick button completely and there is just a jump, punch, and spin kick that drains your health. That means no elbow smashes or back kicks. Oh yeah, you can't pick up the weapons either so this game is pretty much fail. There are a lot cooler DD games that use the same OpenBOR engine.

  • he looks like the joker with the green hair

  • I can't do this because I'm a flidomide

  • You can beat him up when he gets back up? So easy...

  • damn, I always ran out of quarters to even get this far as a kid =(

  • como podes cortar el video alli sos un infeliz el final es la mejor parte

  • always liked that music thats playing during the 1st part o the fight i think it was in double dragons 1 in the vs mode!? music at 2nd fights good too very nice!!!

  • where can i download this?

  • @MrPhrygian

    Same question here.

  • Awesome, didn't even know this existed! When i saw the v-ism in the top left....

  • This is cool but I always thought it was the wrong configureation. In the original, the boss can teleport in the first phase and is in the mystic sorta background the start of this video is in. In the second he can't and it's in the churchish looking place and when he's there he can't teleport. I think it would have been cooler and more challenging if it started in the churchish place, and then in his second phase he started the illusioning and teleporting.

  • @Zellig Or, it could be the fact that the shadow boss's powers are growing weaker as he receives damage from Billy Lee...thus reducing the shadow illusion he controls over the stage.

  • @psychowildchild Yeah that makes sense.

  • what version of Double Dragon is this? and where can i play it?

  • @nodnyl10

Same question here. I'm wondering if it's available for MAME emulator!

  • @ImprovedMano

    @nodnyl10

    @MrPhrygian

It is on OpenBOR you just have to register at lavalit dot com and you can download it. It is pretty simple to use. If you can work MAME you'll have no trouble.

  • you kicked captain planets ass

  • Whats the Z-ISM about in the top left? Thats from SFAIII :S

  • That was less extreme than I had hoped.

  • This theme gets me so excited it makes me want to do a poo. Shares in Andrex went up because of this song. Awesome stuff.

  • Am I the only one that gets psyched up when the Double Dragon theme plays? It's like Eye of the Tiger...you hear and just want to kick some ass!

  • The song in the second fight has the same feel as the Rocky themes. I miss the days where videogame music was unique and... good. Instead of the company hiring some random douche no one has heard about, that plays songs we have all heard before.

Its a sad ending, I prefer the nes ending where this "prophetic angel" comes back with Marion. Its not the cannon ending though, she gets shot, and as most people, she stays dead.

  • whats the name of that boos/

  • hey, what's double dragon extreme? never saw it before? is it an arcade game?

  • Uh, why does this boss look like Capt. Planet?

  • Music sounds like Flash Gordan.

  • Yea for what system is this game. It looks like a cheap copy of the orinal boss from dd2. I didn't see him use other moves and that back flipp ect.

  • o shit! mind games and combo resets.

  • el de dreamcast

  • Yeah man that music takes me back

  • can you add a link for download please? xD

  • this version for Arcade or wht? the graphic so nice

  • Now THIS is boss-fighting music!

  • man u got some sick skills

  • Man, this is the best fucking last boss music ever.

  • Grate music.

  • Billy's hiricane kick is so cool.

  • ELBOW!

  • Once I heard about this I downloaded it for the Dreamcast. This is a fan made version of Double Dragon II (Best DD game ever created hands down, it's so perfect the other DD's don't even compare to it)

BTW, they actually gave this final boss a name in the GBA version of Double Dragon. Apparently his name is Raymond, which coincidentally my fathers name and my middle name.

I kind of just liked the original label of the Black Shadow Warrior Master...but Raymond is cool to. (LOL noooo not really)

  • No way I must have this game I must its my Fav DD Boss ever man please someone give me simply instructions if you have done it please !!! wb

  • All I can say is "WHAT THE??!!" I began playing the arcade game 20 years ago, and this is the first time I find out about this "extreme" version, was it released only in Japan or something??

  • PC engine port of the arcade with alot of NES game elements inserted for good measure

  • Actually this is a game made using a game engine calls "Beats of Rage" (or something like that). It is not an official version of the game.

  • na bro. its fanmade. sumone took the sprites from the arcade gasmes and blended it in to make this superior game. u should try it out

  • openbor, an engine for beat'em ups

  • lol at 1:08

  • yeah that was funny. tagged him like a scripted episode.

  • The BOR series are all basically tribute games... they use sprites from Final Fight, Street Fighter Alpha, Double Dragon, Mortal Kombat, other capcom fighters, etc. Unfortunately they really lack in innovation... so once you play a few of them you'll get bored pretty quickly and I think go to the original games (which are all emulated anyway).

  • The gameplay is basically identical to Beats of Rage (the traps are I think the only "new" element added by the DDEx team; the ability to have 4 players was part of the original engine though the initial BOR was only 2 player)... a life draining super move button, a generic attack button and a jump button. Moves akin to Streets of Rage 2. DD 1&2 in the arcades on the other hand had weapons and punch/kick/jump. Very different feel.

  • DD Extreme is NOT a console game, nor it is an official PC or arcade game. It was created recently, using graphics and sounds pulled from Double Dragon 1 & 2 (arcade), and music and cut scene pictures from DD 2 NES... plus a few modified sprites and backgrounds for extra variety. The only way to get this game is to download it off the internet. The DC version you have to burn to a disc.

  • What system is this for?

  • People keep asking "what system is this for."

DD Extreme is a Beats of Rage Mod (BOR being a fan-made fighting game engine; a tribute to Streets of Rage; it uses sprites and sounds ripped from other games). It is in DOS, like Beats of Rage, and also ported to the Dreamcast.

  • So while DDE looks like Double Dragon arcade, it doesn't feel like double dragon arcade. There's only 2 buttons... there's an emphasis on combos and beating down a big cluster of enemies at once (repeat), and the AI acts very differently. There's even the life depleting special move. This was a great effort, and I love DD, but DDE leaves much to be desired. Though it's a free game, so what am I complaining about?

  • where can i find this game?

  • You'll have to google it. It's probably available on a torrent, Giggolo4hire. Look up double dragon extreme (or xtreme). It's not an emulation, it's a fan made game using the BOR (Beats of Rage) engine developed by SenileTeam.

  • DDE (or DDX as some call it) was released on PC (DOS/Windows) and was ported to the Dreamcast (as many BOR mods are). Anyway, it's pretty cool, but I much prefer the gameplay of the DD arcade games to BOR, because after awhile, BOR just feels really generic (same exact game with different. It's Streets of Rage 2 without the weapons, basically (I think it's possible to add them, but most programmers don't want to take the time).

  • love the battle and the battle music.

  • Which system is DDE for? Because it looks vaguely familiar...

  • DDE isn't an official game, ChronoRuffTrigger. It's a fan-made creation, using the "Beats of Rage" engine by SenileTeam (itself a fan game based loosely on the Streets of Rage series). The BOR mods use sprite and sound rips from other games, typically. DDE uses sprite rips mostly from the first two DD arcade games, but the cutscenes are stolen from DD2 for the NES, and some enemy sprites and backgrounds have been modified to resemble their counterparts in the NES version.

  • Oh...

  • I like how this Beats of Rage mod took the arcade graphics and used them to closely re-create the final sequences of Double Dragon II on the NES (which of course was quite different than the Arcade version). If the actual gameplay was closer to the arcade double dragon games, I'd love it a lot more! As such I'm a little tired of the generic BOR gameplay...

  • xD last boss looks like captin planet who the hell put him in the game!

  • Heh, Captain Planet (the character) was not invented until a year after DD2 came out on the NES (the arcade game was released in '88, but the NES version a year later was rather different). The final boss was an NES exclusive, and here, DDE has used a sprite of Williams from the arcade game and modified him to look like the NES boss.

  • I guess technically the "Mysterious Warrior" was also in the Turbo Duo version, but that was because it was loosely based on the NES DD2.

  • wuuuauuu excelente video. saludos desde México.

  • MOST AWESOME BOSS THEME EVA!!!

  • thousand thanks to you ken, i got them all and even more surprises. that shrine is just awesome. you are indeed the "don".take care

  • Glad I could help.

  • thanks dude, but i couldnt find the first stage instrumental song of the final boss stage. i think the name is dead or alive, but in both versions i found there is a girl singing and it's just so annoying

  • There are two albums the "Original Sound Of Double Dragon" is Double Dragon 1 and the "Double Dragon Arranged" is Double Dragon 2.

  • hi ken, would you send me the link to the songs from final fantasy shrine, please. that will be great.

  • I won't give any direct links as I have already told you where they are at. Final Fantasy shrine and then select Gabriel Hotel and go to the mp3 section.

  • as you said, powerlwr, these songs rock, wonder where i can download them, especially the first one

  • Final Fantasy Shrine, Look for the Gabriel Hotel

  • Great music!

BTW where can I download this game?

  • cool

  • lo juegas online????

  • sound like some music from rocky lol

  • What emulator did he use?? Double Dragon's some cool shit!!

  • For a 'last boss', he sure is easy!

  • In the NES version he can attack when he's invisible. It doesn't look like he can here.

  • My god the double dragon theme kicks so much ass!

  • Jeepers does that final battle music kick some serious arse.

  • BoR don't work for Vista, sadly. :(

  • Double Dragon is actually based on the life story of Abraham Lincoln

  • No its not....its based on stephen hawking, how do you think he got in that chair? lol

  • really?

  • of course it is man, Abraham Lincoln was well known by his mastery of martial arts and kicking the sense into his opponents, what do they teach to kids in school this days??

  • One thing they teach us is not to do drugs. Seems you missed that lesson. ;-)

  • How do I get this game?

  • Search for "Double Dragon Extreme last level 2/2" the user of that video added a download link in the vide discription

  • its for mugen?

  • Only thing we need now is a new version of double dragon 3 which is good :P

  • So Double Dragon Extreme is like a combination of the arcade and the NES versions of the classic Double Dragon 2, eh? Heh heh heh. Imagine if the Shadow Warrior was the final boss in the arcade. Wouldn't that be so much more fun?

  • The first half of the boss fight - that's a remix of the Title Music, correct? Where did u find that - i love it!

  • Of the Original Double Dragon 2 i mean

  • is a real a god version and would like to know ,were can i get this game

  • no super moves? billy has Z-ISM. i figured he'd have a super from sfalpha 3

  • Sorry, text limit. My point was just that these are modern games... nostalgic remakes using old game characters (sprite, sound rips, etc). Not that this isn't cool.

Most of the BOR games though feature only a handful of moves. The gameplay is all pretty much the same... a slightly dumbed down version of Streets of Rage or Final Fight.

  • Double Dragon Extreme, like a whole series of other games is a HOMEBREW title, using sprites ripped from other emulated games (like Double Dragon 2)... using a free modifiable engine called "Beats of Rage" (created by SenileTeam as a nostalgic tribute to Streets of Rage on the Genesis, using sprites taken from the King of Fighters games).

There's all kinds of BOR mods out there, starring Final Fight characters, DD characters, Street Fighter characters, MK characters, etc.

  • And you did it without the Elbow Two Step!

  • I miss these old games, nice vid !

  • the cyclone kis was always my favorite move!

  • seen better shot vids... but still good. =d

  • Its real dummies. It is double dragon 2. Got the same boss.

  • is this for real or made up

  • music is the same as the NES version, except the nes sounds tinny and like morsecode, i completed this hundreds of times on the NES. great game.

  • I played this, it was running on midis for me. It sounds like it might be mp3's here tho.

  • Yeah these are mp3's playing. Its from the actual Double Dragon 2 Arranged Soundtrack.

  • Wow that brought back some memories, what a classic game it is so satisfying to beat the crap out of people on double dragon. Nice one.

  • HOT MUSIC.

If recent game O.S.T.'s were half as good.

  • yeah man sick music

  • I know where they could or actually did download the soundtrack. Especially the final final boss part. I came across that thing in the NES DD2, and god damn it I was pleased when I heard that remake of it right here and there. Still searching for the original though.

  • Now I wanna see some Target Renegade!!!!

  • This is actually a 'mod' for the game/engine, 'Beats of Rage'. Do a search for it. You might be surprised at the number of fan-made games available. :)

  • So you mean this is a remake by a fan - not an official release? Interesting.

  • A mod??? This looks just like DD for the Arcade.

  • This game is probably on an emulator for a pc, known as a "rom". I've seen the arcade version adn it looks exactley like this. I remember beating that boss on the NES version.

  • No wonder. The smacks are so audible, and the moves were varied. Looks like a good fan make too.

  • I went looking, and a search turned up a Double Dragon Extreme for a MOBILE console. But I have no clue what MOBILE is. Anyone know?

  • Cool stuff!

  • That was very cheap.

  • what steyem did this doudle dragon come out for i know to know
