I always loved Dragon Bowl. But, to me, the series should have ended after they Gohan defeats Cel. Everything became kinda repetitive and stupid afterwards. And don´t get me started on GT.

although im pretty sure the height the water jumps is to do with the natural resonant frequency of the bowl and the amount of water.

try for a continuous sound, then you will see a pattern in the leaping water: 4 jets for a lower harmonic, 6 for the next higher harmonic...
