  • @ladycat629 I agree with your statement. For some reason, this song has always had a haunting allure. Maybe because the lyrics had resonated with me once upon a time ago when the pain of young love was always so intensely passionate. This was always my favorite song by Freddie Jackson and it always takes me back in time when love was not perfect but had grace and style.

  • He was and still is a true balladeer of timeless classics that can set the mood of any evening in a way that only he can deliver. What a wonderful gift to share.

  • One of the Great Ones!

  • I'm so glad that Unsung finally did a show on him. He is a true talent that doesn't the credit he deserves.

  • Freddie used to move the hell out of them shoulders!

  • When you get involved with any recording company, be sure you know the ropes. Be very very certain that you read and re-read your contract and don't forget to get a very good lawyer because they can be pretty shady too. Read the book "This Business Of Music" also. Take it from me, I've had the experience of being ripped off by a recording company as well.

  • Brings back beautiful beautiful memories of the 80's....No comparison between Freddie and Luther...totally two different talents...and we have room to love them both...

  • He's awesome.

  • It's funny he used to live down the hall from me in Drew Hamilton Projects in Harlem. I even used to talk to him by the elevator. This of course was long before he became a big star. One time he told me how he had just did some backup singing for Stevie Wonder. I was impressed by that but I didn't see what he would really become years later. Who knew. Awesome.

  • LOVE IT! What a classic and timeless slow jam with a smooth groove. This was how a man showed a woman he cared. Freddy had class, style and the man could wear the HELL out of a blue suit, couldn't he? Get it, Freddy!

  • Caught him on Unsung last night and I never realized how many #1 hits Freddie had. Looks like the music industry had--and always will have shady, cut-throat MF's sitting around and waiting to steal your money and your shine! I give him madd props for singing the hell outta this song!

  • @onemeanscorpio same here. never knew he had so many #1's. unsung brought back memories with the songs i remember listening to during the real music age

  • i always thought this jam had an eerry, seductive sound that always drew me in.

  • I am watching Unsung now, had to look up this song. This is my favorite F J song ever! Freddie, you are always my favorite crooner!

  • Thanks for the post. Catch him on Unsung on Monday.

  • This is how u let a women know you love her!

  • one of the best singer ever....

  • Unfortenaly women today lost very much of their elegant and beautiful feminity and replaced it with (sorry but...) "bitchy behavior". Many women act in a way that makes men feel inconfortable with them. Women of 21st century should learn something about the girls of the 20th century.

  • Freddie is great and this is a great song!

  • 20 people have never had someone to love.

  • Gta4ever

  • Michael Michele. She's very pretty and the song is awesome!! Even greater era.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG BUT ITS FOR STALKERS LOL...........WHEN YOU THINK THAT ITS SAFE JUST TAKE A LOOK AROUND I WILL BE THERE BEHIND YOU

  • real shit here this how u sing 2 a woman...MY BAD....A REAL WOMAN

  • Nice song.

  • @mr91ocb i know ppl b thinking im weird cause this is all i listen 2

  • The only Freddie Jackson song I ever liked. He was such an obvious Luther knock off. The video became a fav because of the beautiful Maria McDonald. She was featured on Luther's "Busy Body" album cover before this song.

  • @snowsbeau

Well....this Luther "knockoff" had more #1 hits than Luther. Both were talented and were the premiere singers of their era.

  • GTA 4

  • r&b for everr....

  • It's real and it's that time.

  • GTA IV... good memories... from this afternoon :P great song

  • i wish i was born during this era

  • @318prettyeyes I wish i was born before. So i could enjoy it completely.

  • The best

  • Barry Eastmond Produced this Record and Jolyon Skinner wrote the Lyrics..

  • I searched this because I loved this song when it came out in 1986 (when I was 13). I don't know what GTA IV is. Can someone please tell me what that is? Thanks.

  • @manfocused "GTA4" is Grand Theft Auto 4, 1 of the best video game franchises. this song is featured on the game

  • very soothing

  • I heard this song on GTA IV

  • Damn, life in the 80's sounds so much easier than the 90's (when i grew up). I wish I could've grown up in the 80's.

  • this was my jam when I was 6 lol I was singing it like i knew what he was talking about lol my mom had his tapes too we use to be jammin in the car lol i'm glad im an 80's baby 1980 to be exact

  • Reminds me of going to barbershop where I would here this on the radio.I had to buy Freddie's greatest hits.

  • I hear this almost every other night on the radio. Still sounds good but it gets played more than Luther and... that just doesn't seem right.

  • hell ya

  • quality is horrendous. song is fabulous

  • my song

  • one of my 80 favs growin up

  • must be nice to love & be loved back!!!!!!

  • @TheMontegirl31 I agree-but it has become extremely rare,i and many others are waiting the long wait that sometimes feels hopeless-but when/if we find ourselves in the situation of loving and being loved back as much-we are sticking to it.The imagination of how nice it must be keeps us going.

  • still sounds good

  • This beat is also used by Rick Ross in Sun come up featering Birdman and T--pain.

This one is much better though.

  • Michael Michele and '80s Vanessa Williams kind of favor each other.

  • @atmybest4 yea they do i used to get them confused

  • @SuperMusiclover90 That's soooooo understandable! LOL

  • Freddie Jackson and Luther Vandross. what gods!!

  • @lozzer2345 Someone called Freddie a Luther knock-off, but both were incredibly romantic, and smooth, but I could tell them apart. Even though I like Luther, I was always partial to Freddie...Sorry.

  • this when men love women 4 them self and not 4 the materalist thing in life real music..love it....miss those 80"s

  • Yes michael michelle was in new york undercover after new jack city and other show's like e.r & guest spot's on them anything just to work

  • WHEN R&B EARNT ITS CREDIT. REAL CLASS AND GOLD.

TODAY NOTHING BUT GENERIC IDIOTIC MAN MADE SHIT.

    70S,80S AND 90S R&B = IRREPLACABLE AND UNFORGETABLE

    2000S AND 2010S R&B = DEFINATELY REPLACABLE AND FORGETABLE

  • @georgethehands I agree with alot you said but in the early 2000 there were good songs but around 2005 thats when music started to vastly declined to the point of today when most of it is garbage... Those behind the music industry really screwed things up for this generation of youths coming up now the question is ???... was it deliberate?

  • @caboverde100 Damn straight. Nelly's "Hot in Herre" was music's "Watergate" moment. LOL

  • @caboverde100 yep perversion loves to pervert.... and Real Love is quality which makes us want quality in our singers... and lets be real i likes Chris Brown but will he ever have quality like this... will LLyod, Trey Songs, nope cause the glory is conquring booty not finding LOVE

  • The best music of GTA IV .

  • Sing it Freddie!!!!! This sound so good to me!

  • Have you ever loved somebody by Freddie Jackson and Sunshine by Alexander O'Neal are two of the best slow jamz of all times. So listen up when you play these songs, cause that's music not that bull that they call music now and days. These so called singers have no imagination, soul or feelings. That's why they sing about sex, titts, ass and all that other crap.

  • when i was in high school this guy told me that this song was for me and he was right that was about 25 years ago and it still locked away. thats demtrius at pali hi in ca

  • HOLD ON STRONG TO THESE GOLDEN CLASSICS CAUSE YOU WON"T HEAR THIS IN TODAY'S MUSIC!! THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER ERA LIKE THE GREAT 80's AND 90's R&B ERA!!!

  • @naturefreedom OkaY, and i know we arent suppose to relive the old days and thats fine. I wish they would just play this music on Radios in their everyday rotation instead of this mess we have today.

  • @naturefreedom Please say that !!!!

  • THIS SONG RIGHT HERE IS THE BOMB! A FUCKING CLASSIC!!! ANYONE WHO HEARS THIS AND DOES NOT SIT AND LISTEN UP IS DEAF! DAMN THIS IS SOUL MUSIC AT IT'S BEST!

  • @SoulCatheral That's right! This song tells it like it is.... Something this current music don't. This song will teach you about love.

  • THIS SONG RIGHT HERE IS THE BOMB! A FUCKING CLASSIC!!! ANYONE WHO LISTENS TO THIS AND DOES NOT SIT AND LISTEN UP IS DEAF!

  • @dogcat126 Lucky you! My older sister met The Ice Man when he appeared here in the San Francisco Bay early 2011. She said that he kissed her on the cheek. He was so elegant, smooth and down-to-earth. One of those who appreciates his fans. And I looove Freddie. I have both Freddie and Jerry's greatest hits. With Jerry, I go as far back as Never Give You Up. And I play this song by Freddie quite often.

  • tony for you sue

  • It feels so good to be able to love someone and he loves you back.

  • The 9 people who disliked this have obviously got shit in their ears.

  • I use to listen to this tape when I was in CIW which stands alone (California Institutate for Women i was doing a ten year stretch Needless to say I hooked up with a soul sister this was some getting down music she was a lifer 15 to life Jocey if your out there I always think of you girl I hope my CREATOR HAS YOU SAFE AND BRINGS you across my path once again LL San Francisco

  • This one is my favorite Freddie Jackson song.

  • Bass!

  • relaxting music

  • wow how can these 9 people dislike such a song which to this date there can never be people who sing like this or bring a song like this ?c'mon..do you 9 people who dislike really know what love is?and do you know what it is how it feel or have you ever loved somebody?

  • 9 persons wanted to test if the dislike button was working

  • "came out of the car lookin more like freddie jackson!"....freddie is the man! love his music.

  • I'm only 31 and love this music, I didn't have any older siblings so I listen to what my mom played which was all that great music from the 60's' 70's and 80's. I was in elementary when this came out, but best believe I remember....lol. I envy y'all from back then because you had the best music, but I was fortunate to grow up in the 90's and catch the last of some pretty good music.

  • Thanks to GTA4! I found this song there and nowI'm mad about 80s and 90s tracks! They're fantastic!

  • ima beat the fuck out of 9 people

  • @TheBrownsfan596 You cant hit deaf people !

  • i missed songs like those though... old school lives on in our hearts forever!! ;)

  • ( memorable )......... Yoo, i seen the sextape! they was in a hotel in vegas.. go here: Starzexposed...dot...com....... ( lust-4-u, and the wild, mind blowing kisses, memorable )

  • It just sounds 80's Super Sexy!

  • songs like this will always be around , cuz this true music & singing from the heart...

  • I was born in '86, so most of the music I remember is from the 90s. However, I fell in love with this song after hearing it on my GTA IV game. This was real music and when it was about love and not just getting some. Music that respected women. I can honestly say that there is only a handful of good music out nowadays. I'd give anything if music could go back to the way it was back then (60s-90s).

  • Its sad how good music like this is gone. BTW the 8 that disliked this can all go to hell.

  • @bwahaha77

I strongly AGREE!!! Now it's all auto tuned rubbish like lady gaga & justin bieber. And they are only in it for the money. If not, then why can't these FAKE modern singers make a meaningful song with soul and understanding?

  • I'm a 55 year old white bloke from New Zealand and all my favourite music is 80's R & B. Bring it all back.

  • @wtoz1 how bout this: im a 17 yo white guy from Holland and i hate most rap and hiphop songs.. bring back the 80's cuz i was born too late :(

  • @wtoz1 Chur brother! Hahaha!

  • luv dis shitt..real gud music ya dig..player..

  • It doesn't matter who was better; they were all part of a great time in music.

Apples are not better than oranges; just different. Praise God for all the good music!

  • This song reminds me of you know who ?
