  • @hihihi675 Behind each open port there is an application(daemon/service). The "evil doers" try to find an open port that has a penetratable daemon(mistakes in code for example) behind it. The best you can do is to use firewalls, wrappers and close the ports that you don't use. Still you can't be 100% sure that you're protected.... Also good advice is to use programs as tripwire in order to check the integrity of your (system) files

  • wat can u do with an open port? like i have the list of open ports now what can i do with them?

  • If you get a list of vunerable ports of a website you can perform a DoS. For poeple who don't know what a DoS is, it's a Denail of Service attack which can crash the server of a website. For people who want to do this google DoS or PoD (Ping of Death.)

  • @wakyjaky telnet into the server through the port, just basic stuff.

  • @wakyjaky get on the computer of the open ports,

    go to start>run

    type: telnet.exe *remotehost* *openprot*

this will bring up a dos interface on the remote host (asuming its a computer within your network)

  • This guy is the coolest!

  • can you use it like lan?

  • wats cis 60 class the one he said?

  • may you put a link plz?

  • NMAP on Windows? That's just lame...

  • How's that lame? So many people multiboot and virtualize these days, it makes sense to have it for every OS, and it works just like the versions from the Linux repos. What's more important than that?

  • I get an error - it is a failure with eth5. What's wrong?

  • Ehm i have some problems what means if it tells you : "dnet: failed to poen device eth12

    QUITTING! ????

  • Probably an issue with your network card or your router.

eth12? might be a config issue I've never heard of.

eth0 is normally the name of your first network card, and eth1 is your second and so on.

You may not have promiscuous mode enabled or your card doesn't support it.

  • EVEYONE WITH AN ERROR READING

    Download AND INSTALL WINPCAP.

LIKE HE SAID IN THE VIDEO.

  • christmas tree: good analogy. It depends on the scan. You are correct, usually any TCP scan or PING Sweep is like calling the IDS system's momma a Fat-Ass! In other words, the IDS gets pretty angry LOL

  • nmap -iflist (lists your network interfaces)

nmap -e [inteface] -S [spoofedIp] [targetIp]

Use this to spoof your IP to avoid IDS.

  • Download quickly because it's a zip file? Yeah, that's why it was quick. Nothing to do with it's size.

    nmap under windows? Blasphemy!

    At least you're responsible.

Like sending a couple of ping packets? Bullshit. The firewall lights up like a christmas tree. Have you ever seen what nmap sends out during a routine scan?

  • fuck u hacker rule u fuck shit oh and nive vid lol
