The last time I saw Tom Baker, he was quite along in the years. Maybe Russel Davies could work that in to an advantage of a story. Hmm.

But I work in Special FX & Film, so I've seen people take old footage & add in new. A friend of mine put himself in with Star Trek where Capt Kirk is chewing everyone out about a fight with the Klingons.

Maybe they could take old Tom Baker Footage and blend him in.

TB was damn funny. Still my fav is Jon Pertwee. Why not Sylvester McCoy? He's was Brilliant!

I think RTD is the best thing to happen to Dr who since its creation and frankly his scripts, along with the other writers, really don't get any better (in TV) than this.

He also seems to have a heart too. Hardly qualifications for being a P.... :-)

All in all, Holms and RTD, plus Moffat, are Who's best contributors because they can take familiar ideas and make them more original or colour them up so you don't scream rip-off TOO harshly

The Doctor is a character from the classic BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who. It was brought back by RTD in 2005.

The Doctor (not Doctor Who) is a Time Lord, meaning that he's an alien and more-or-less immortal. He travels around in time and space saving people and planets and getting out of various situations that he finds himself in.

Roughly, it's like Sherlock Holmes, but with time travel.

I'm sorry, I misspoke. HE knows his name, but for some reason, no one else does. It's just one of his many quirks. He chose the name after leaving his planet shortly after the FGTW with a few other Time Lords- if I remember correctly.

But, yes, he CHOSE that name for some reason. It's not his real name, but it's what he goes by.

He knows his name, but no one else in the show (or any of the viewers or writers) do.
