This was accidental by McCaw - just as was Quade Cooper's knee to McCaw's head a month of so earlier in the Tri-Nations test. This didn't stop a shitload of Kiwis from putting on a disgraceful display targeting Cooper during the whole RWC. By the looks of this Parra is stuck on the wrong side of the ruck, all McCaw is doing is blowing the player going for the ball out of the way so that the All Blacks can secure possession. Rugby needs the All Blacks myth, I agree, so an ABs' WC title can only be good for the game, but come on, to win it that way is the worst insult you can make to this sport.

@olivieru The All Blacks never laying a complaint , Yet the IRB today made a statement today saying after reviewing footage of the eye gouge from the cheating French the are going to change the rules of incident reporting in the international game of rugby so that it cant happen again. I know France have trouble losing and believe that luck and the opposition will let them win on the day, complaining about losing a game the world thinks you didn't deserve to be wins no friends

That the french were a worthy opponent and deserved to be there in the final off great performance throughout the tournament? But the All Blacks are the 2011 Champions, which is in the records and on the trophy, McCaw is the captain of this winning team, so suck it up. There is no crying babies on the All Blacks team, Cory Jane had bloody nose all game, didn't miss a high ball, didn't lie down like a pussy, European players are simply drama queen like their soccer counterparts, disgrace to the sport.

Well I don't think that McCaws kneeing of Morgan Parra was any more accidental than NZr's think that Quade Coopers little nudge to McCaws arrogant chin. It was simple payback for McCaws cheating thuggery earlier and throughout the game. This was accidental by McCaw - just as was Quade Cooper's knee to McCaw's head a month of so earlier in the Tri-Nations test. This didn't stop a shitload of Kiwis from putting on a disgraceful display targeting Cooper during the whole RWC. AND, while I don't know too many people who begrudge the ABs the title of world champions - they have been the best team for years - the refereeing in the RWC final was an absolute disgrace. Joubert should never referee at international level again.

@gregoconnor Coopers knee was intentional.You can see he looks down at McCaw and follows with the knee trying to make out it was unintentional.In this video,McCaw only has eyes for Dusautoir but Para just happens to be on the wrong side of the ruck and gets caught.

Fair to say a lot of you people probably dont play rugby. By the looks of this Parra is stuck on the wrong side of the ruck, all McCaw is doing is blowing the player going for the ball out of the way so that the All Blacks can secure possession. McCaw is not taking any notice of Parra he is gunning for Dusautoir and it is Parras fault for being on the wrong side of the ruck. This is the kind of accident that happens in rugby and I'm near positive the players should agree.

to all the hater's it doesn't matter if you win by 1 point or 100 its all about winning! yeh the AB's didn't play great but the won. Sometimes, the best team doesn't win. Tiger Woods doesn't always win the tournament but he is the best player in the field and sometimes he doesn't play great and win. Its all about winning. Its why they play and its why they keep score. You can all moan about everything you want but when the final whistle was blown NZ had 1 more point than France so they won!

Quand on voit ça, on comprend mieux la fourchette de Rougerie : on touche pas au demi de mêlée - même s'il est replacé à l'ouverture - c'est comme ça ! (enfin, si ça se trouve, ça n'a aucun rapport et c'était juste parce qu'il était excédé des hors-jeu permanents de McCaw ... ^^)
Et puis franchement, McCaw peut jouer lui, alors que Morgan Parra est indisponible pendant un mois à cause de la fracture du plancher orbital causée par ... ah ben McCaw.

I have looked at this a few times and though I am an admirer of Mcaw the hand is a pulled out punch and the knee is well positioned-it looks intentional.
No doubt about Rougerie-disgusting footage - something that could render someone blind. The guy should be banned for a year. Mcaw should be forced to defend his action on Parra

@Easyarnaud2 Easy he was about to clear out a ruck in which he prepared his body to impact against another player. Play that angle at full speed and watch how Parra got hit from Nonu he was in lala land before McCaw got there his head was in the wrong position and he took a massive hit right down his spine. that is why he got up on the wrong side of a ruck and got clobbered again by McCaw.

I see clearly that McCaw is purely going for the ball,I understand the tactics that the french tried to play here and that was to get themselves on our side of rucks and mauls to prevent our support players from getting their first..It did work however on some occasions where it did go unnoticed
