m99 is lighter a bit and thnx bolt action it is delivering whole "BOOM" to its projetail, there is no wasted energy for gas operated semi automatic delivery system, witch results in better acuracy, faster and stroger impact a bit ...

i want to know whose idea it was to have the m99, a one shot civilian rifle, in a game that's supposed to be about near-future special ops. Ghost Recon 1 appropriately has the m82a1, the semiauto .50 cal rifle in use by the military. The game should have the m82a1, a bolt action but magazine fed chey-tac .408 intervention, the m14 (which it does), and, why not, the sniper variant of the xm8.

Try carrying an m82 for 10 km and lets see how well you can shoot. Special Forces are about mobility and applying pressure on the enemy at key points...

The Barrett M82 was designed for static take down of enemies from safe untouchable distances... not to be carried from building to building doing room clearing or street fighting

all well and good, but realism was never this game's strong point. THe soldiers in the game run just fine with a ZEUS rocket or a belt fed m240 with 300 rounds of ammo.

Yeah the Barret M99 is a good sniper rifle , a very good sniper rifle and it should feel satisfying since its a single shot, unlke its close freind M95, M90 which obv not as good but was magazine fed with five round and the m82A1 and the M82A2 which was magazine fed with 10 round and was semiautomatic. M99 is a sniper rifle and its sexy just dont like the you put anothe rbullet in after youv ejected it
