Why is the MPG soo bad?! Ford developed some amazing diesels with Peugeot/Citroen, that van should be getting well over 50mpg, even accounting for your smaller gallon it should be in the forties, not 24mpg. I think US Car and Van dealers need to get out of the habit of chucking in the biggest engines they can find. Most European cars (big as well as small) can do mpgs up to and better than a prius. The Volvo c30 can do 74mpg an put out the same CO2 as a prius in a 'normal' car
