Thunderbirds RTB after the Nascar UAW-Dodge 400 Fly by

I was stationed at Nellis in 73-77 when they were flying T-38s. I worked on the flightline and we would get a free show every Monday afternoon when they would return from a weekend show. They would usually bust up the field a bit before landing. It was always fun to take a break and watch.

Loving the Tristar, don't see them as much as I used to. They were in and out of Cambridge all the time when I was young. Good to see the RAF making an appearance.

Heh heh see I really didn't think the Tristar was still flying! How wrong was I! Can anyone tell me why that plane was there? AND anyone lese just spot one from time to time?

There are plenty of L-10's still flying. This RAF 1011 was there for Operation Red Flag, Alot of other RAF planes were too. these are to be in service until 2014 where they will be replaced with a330 tankers
