  • fuck gta 4, great taste in music brought me here

  • 2 persons were born Without the cool!

  • 1 person is a paraplegic

  • As effin awesome as this is, you'd figure it would have more views, this shit makes your soul want to move.

  • probably the best thing the USA has given the world

  • @musicmakerlover Don't get me wrong, I'm here because I love Miles. Although, if you truly loved Miles you'd be much more enthusiastic about him having more fans.

  • @esp0624 No one really cares dude.. Just enjoy the music.

  • this song is THE BEST for running people over...JNR ALL THE WAY

  • @jrgorilla1 Lol you psycho you.

  • @CommendatoreAndolini you KNOW it is, though :)

  • @jrgorilla1 Personally I tune it to the death metal station. We're different kinds of psychos :P

  • @CommendatoreAndolini it takes all kinds, i guess!

  • 1 person will never know what its like to drive around on GTA 4 and listen to JNR!!!

  • I love to drive around with this song in gta4

  • 1 person is not cool.

  • who is the drummer on this recording?

  • @q14151415 It'd be Max Roach, if not not mistaken.

  • @TheEnglishRedneck45 You're not mistaken. It's certainly Max Roach.

  • Miles Davis is Best!!

  • JAZZ.COOL SONGS.MILES DAVIS.NOTHING ELSE.

  • One of the greatest Jazz albums of all time.

  • I actually listened to Birth of the Cool way back, and later when I found out that was Lisa Simpson's favorite album, and that the song Move was in my favorite game, GTAIV, I was ecstatic.

  • Lisa Simpson´s Favorite Album!

    That´s why I´m listening. Awesome.

    Miles rules

  • for some reason this song was playing while trying to kill pegorino at the end

    kind of wierd 8)

  • when i first this song, when i was 9 or 10 (thanks to my father) i decided I was gonna be a drummer

  • I love how many games(e.g. GTA IV, Midnight Club Los Angeles, etc.) chose all the best songs, and you like only discover it through that, because many people wouldn't even know of that song's exsistence!

  • Love this song. It's on GTA 4!

  • BREATHTAKING!!!

  • here here

  • @BrzNinja Errm you have to give Britain credit for the whole rock thing too. Even back in the 50's there were British groups playing Rockabilly and country rock so i'd say it was a joint effort. And the blues are also original to America.

  • I know I might sound dumb, but this song has a lot of "flavor".

  • ok. I know how important it was. but influences are only influences. jazz just had a lot of influences.

I´m talking about history. the begin of....

Bach was white and Bird was black. You know?!

the skin´s color is not important but the history!

US it´s only one more cowntry. peoples make history. cowntries it´s only part of this.

  • the black peoples bring their culture from africa.... never forget this..... it´s a gift for the world... america cames after... i think you have to learn about your history... god bless your mind....

  • its black as much as its white.

you cant ignore the classical influences on jazz - from chopin and ragtime, to stravinsky and be-bop

  • RAP IS HIP HOPDURANWARD LOL

  • Comment removed

  • true fucking say!

  • "Rap" or "to rap" is what the MCs do in front of the microphone. "Hip-hop" is the whole culture and movement; both an adjective and a genre classification. I see what you're getting at though...

  • @duranward They're both terrible, none the less.

  • @duranward Eh, what's the difference? This is an earnest question, not a rhetorical one.

  • @duranward Relax, miles was just doing his thing.

  • i wish they had a live video of this being played :( id wanna see it

  • chill and listen to miles play ya'll

  • best jazz song ever

  • becides art blakey moanin and charles mingus but art blakey moanin is hard bop

  • Why are you being so racist? The people of sweden does not have a collective debt towards you, it would seem that you are the one in a teenage angst.

Well I don't have PHD in psychiatry but something is wrong with you since you feel the need to be so offensive, and taking shit personally.

You constantly try to belittle me instead of meeting my arguments, you are convinced that you are right because you say so, and nobody can contest that.

But our discussion is wasting space.

  • hey wata justa second i no u r not talkin about jazz.jazz is the best music in the world better than all of that jonnas brother shit and rap shit i want u to foward this note to all of those rap fans and jonnas brothers fans swedude fuck u and go eat a fucking dick jonnas fan

  • That was dumb

  • I was just making an equally stupid statemnt as you were, since you didn't notice, i'll put a large "SARCASM" tag around my post.

No I obviously don't know anything about you, but you don't know anything about me, so how can you know that I am dirty? ;D

It's easy to point out other peoples flaws when you make the same mistakes yourself.

You obviously wanted some sort of pissing contest so you can sit around and insult random people to make up for something you are lacking.

  • Obviously you must be from north america since no other nationality would be stupid enough to make such an ignorant racist statement.

How's about you get out of suburbia and discover the world a little?

  • You are implying what i just said, if i'm wrong then you don't have to be so FUCKING offensive about it.

I was also making a general statement, but since you feel that it applies to you aswell, there must be some truth to it, and that's why you are being so rude.

  • Is it only legit to like music if you discovered in some other way than in mainstream media?

Get over yourself, wannabe hardcore music fans who thinks more people liking "Their" music will make them less special.

It's a good thing that more people discovers Jazz again.
