(ontinued). I am already thinking about selling it before I even played it. I guess I bought it thinking I was Wealthier than I really am. I am only going to keep it if it really floors me. If not, I'll sell it and by something cheaper like a Pignose G40V (good sounding and a hell of alot cheaper). Are you getting that hiss when you try to go through your Pod? How bout when you go straight from guitar to amp?

Either and it originates from the amp. Sometimes it doesn't do it though, although there is always a certain level of noise, just differing amounts, you just can't tell. I don't know if it would be covered under the warranty or if the tubes were changed for better ones?? I don't know if it would be a pain to play live with either. Ahhh, this hobby is toooooooo expensive!!

I would think the problem must be the tubes. looks like your gonna have to go back to the ol' trusty peavey. Quite frankly, It sounded danm good with Gt-6 Modeling. You have to do mysterious ways. I now its hard without an A3. They are going for around $300 on ebay. Not sure if they are that cheap where you are. If your interested, let me know. I could pick one up for you and you could pay me back. I travel back and forth to Europe alot. I'd love to see what you could do with that thing.

how is your new line 6 working out for you? Id love to know. Is the Modulation awesome? Should I go ahead and give it a try. id love to condense the gear that im buying into just the one X3 live. Id be able to this other stuff, except for the A3 ofcourse. I heard some reviews saying the line 6 doesnt sound great through an amp though. whats your take on it. I have an AC30 cc2x

Yeah, I'm still trying to work with it. I can get some really lovely clean type sounds using the Vox modelling and the delay with modulation is really nice. I can't seem to get far with the distortions at the moment but that's probably just me. One issue is that when switching patches the new patch takes a bit of time to kick in (only m'seconds) and I don't like this especially for songs that need instant sound changes like B'ful Day. If the Boss GT10 had delay & modulation I'd go for that. PTO

That's not to say this unit isn't great. I use it thru a Vox CC2 (Blue speakers) with. as I say, some good and bad results. Also, I'm still not sure about the Vox amp as there are some issues with the sound with that. The problem is I don't get enough time to really get to know the equipment and fine tune the settings. How do you get on with your amp? Do you sometimes get some hissing noise emitting from the amp when you're not playing? I do, it's is a real pain in the arse! Keep trying eh??

Well its funny that you say that because I've read alot of reviews that also talk about the hissing too. I myself don't know for sure, because I'm over in Europe. I bought the amp over ebay for a great price from a reputable guy. $1075 in great shape, new tubes, cc2x (blue alnicos) I havent played with the amp yet, but finally going to get home to NY on May 9th and then Ill see. I looked at it like this; if the amp isn't what I expect,or makes a hiss, I can always sell it & get my money back

Actually sunshine, the guitar volume is very very low. It's because the microphone is so sensitive that it sounds so loud. Why do you think you can hear me actually hitting the strings with the pick?? If it was that loud you wouldn't hear it would you!
