Jim Perry, from Camden, NJ, but a Canadian at heart. For so many years he entertained Canadians with Definition, Headline Hunters, Eye Bet and the Miss Canada Pageant on the CFTO-TV Toronto and the CTV Network. Jim deserves a star on Canada's Walk of Fame.
why would gsn show this show more than most other shows that are popular today including one the price is right that has been hosted best known by bob barker and drew carey
Even when this show went off the air, at least Canadians still got to watch Jim on "Definition". Americans would have to wait another 2 years to see him.
You're right, the show was already in 1981 before GSN killed it back in March of this year. What a shame that GSN would air their own crappy game shows instead of showing these great oldie but goody game shows like this. I haven't watched GSN since they stopped showing Monty's version of LMAD in June.
The host was great, The idea was new
Why they cancelled the show...no f**king clue

I was not a big fan of Eubanks he just seems bland as the host. Perry was better.

8:40 "Gene, show's going off today, I got a good job for us" -- vintage Jim Perry!

864 shows in only 3.5 years? Gosh, we couldn't even have 100 episodes of a TV show in 3.5 years these days!
DorvellTStewart 1 year ago
@DorvellTStewart that's because this was daily; it would have been around 100 if it was weekly

"Aces high, deuces low. Let's make some money and GO GO GO!"
And Jim never bothered to mention who sent in that final opening poem.

Actually, Americans would have to wait exactly 14 months to see Jim again, not counting that Twisters unsold pilot.

For "Sale of the Century" I do believe.

You're right and wrong at the same time. But, I see where you led me. I got it fixed

...because that makes sense.

The current GSN screwed us out of seeing this finale right when we were entering further into 1981.
Thanks for posting this gem!!!

You are right. This is ridiculous why it was not aired on GSN recently. Thanks, Michael.

It would have aired by now had GSN kept it on the air.

I wouldn't call Catch 21 a crappy show at all.
Also, GSN has made good game shows in the past and present.
Maybe just personal preference on your part?

Well, blockemall, this version and the Eubanks version are returning on April 1st.

God I hope so! Hopefully this ain't an April Fools joke.
