Yes indeed, lisaperalta73 —I completely agree —and, that's not to dis Martha Davis in any way —That incomplete version from the scene in the studio by Matraca is "it" —She just owns it —in arrangement, as well as vocal performance —Then again, she is the composer so, that's as it should be —I can convert any audio into an mp3 but, I've yet to find a complete Matraca version. If I do I'll give you a heads-up —cheers...

This song was sang also by Neil Yong , its a very different version though....

this is by far my favorite version... it was also used in an 80's film Made In Heaven with timothy Hutton and Kelly Mcgillis... its a cheesy but romantic type film...

That is the GREAT Matraca Berg singing it in the studio during the film. She is primarily known as one of the top country music songwriters of today - her biggest hit was "Strawberry Wine" - but her voice is phenomenal. Her version isn't listed in the credits. She's listed as the character Matraca in the cast, but her name is never mentioned in the film. Why didn't they list her as SINGER IN STUDIO? Or at least list her performance of the song in the music credits?!

I LOVED Matraca Berg singing this in the movie. I think she has a great voice and I'd love to hear her full version of this song versus Martha Davis. Not that Martha's version is bad, but Matraca has a unique voice too!
