@kayu38 Based off the description I'd say it's in the Netherlands, which is not in North America. You are correct though, Skylines and more specifically the GTR are illegal in the United States (from my understanding), unless you have one of the few legal DOT tested models. They're legal in Canada and Mexico however, as well as pretty much every other country. Why? Something to do with US vehicle safety regulations I think...?

@TheSiqLad they're not necessarily "illegal" in the US, they just have a real BITCH of a time going through customs. They check everything and search for illegal car mods. Guy down my street has the right hand drive awd gtr r34 but he had to shell out close to 40k to get it.

I thought I might be moving from Sydney to California, and really wanted to buy another RB26 R32 GTR at a reasonable price...all the information and people told me it was illegal except for some rare severely over priced legal models, and the grey market. In the end I didn't end up moving though so it didn't really matter. It must suck with all that customs shit though.

@TheSiqLad I know it depends on the state laws though. Cali is a LOT harder to get them. But i'm in sc, and there's literally NO laws concerning aftermarket parts. I do know that ALL the glass had to be replace to be DOT approved and the front and rear bumpers as well. You can buy one online for a decent price, ship it, and pick it up. Customs will be waiting for you to have payment for all necessary mods to make it legal though. It's a widely skewed myth that they're illegal. never have been.

@messihardstyler you should read up before you post untrue facts. there were different models of all skylines produced, with the exception of the 35, some were rwd. the top of the line skyline has always been the gtr and it has ALWAYS had an awd system which can allow you to perform brakestands, drifts, etc. the one above is not a gtr, its probably a single turbo gts.

@chriserz94 it actually automatically applies torque to the front tires when needed, so the computer system decides when the car uses awd or rwd, pretty much on corners and accelerating hard it will apply it to the front as well but just cruising it will use only the rear. I'm pretty sure that you can turn this feature off making it only rwd

@kgombe1 There are different types, this one is a GTT which is rear wheel drive and the GTR is four wheel drive, there is also the GTSt which is the R32 and R33 models, also the GTS4 which is a four wheel but with a GTSt engine and not the RB26DETT found in the GTR. Also the GTS which is a none turbo which is round on the R32, R33 and R34!

@kgombe1 your question does not make sense. this one and all r34's are ALL WHEEL DRIVE not 4 wheel drive. but no more than 35% of the power in r34's ever go to the front wheels. so when he slammed on the brakes almost all the power was going to the back. also it's pretty obvious that this thing is not stock lol. so probably made the burnout easier.
