:/ For 475$ I picked up a *real* one. In excellent condition. And for an extra 90$ I snagged 192 rounds of 30.06 that were already clipped up. The amount of money you spent on a fake, airsoft version, you could have bought a real one. Trust me, the 475 on the real deal is a much better buy. It will last, it is actually increasing in value, and its a piece of history you can pass onto your children. Check out the Civilian Marksmanship Program, or the CMP, to pick up your rifle.

@DawnOfDaybreak I know of the CMP but at the time this is what I asked for due to the fact that I wanted to be different from the rest of all the airsofters. I wanted to seclude myself from all the m4/m16/variants and Ak's and their variants that are our there. I also wanted to be realistic. But reading your thoughts has had little effect on my already broad horizon, that is in the category of firearms and firearm replicas. I have considered purchasing a CMP garand or going to a gun show.

If you shot a true .30 caliber/7.62mm bullet down the barrel, you wouldn't hit the broadside of a barn. Of course, since airsoft doesn't have rifling (at least when I played) it's a bit moot.

A really nice m1 could cost about 700-800 bucks, where this is 500 and worth more in the long run by not being rare and not made anymore, If i wanted to sell it i could get 800-1000 bucks for it. And the best gun I could get thats Semi for 500 would be a SHITTY ASS WASR-10, or a SKS clone. If I wanted an AR i couldn't get it for that , a cheap AR would be 700 at the least.
