well yes, there has certainly been an influence of hip hop into dancehall in recent years, but it wasn't always the case. For music video and tv they tend to play-up the hip hop aspect more, I guess to make it more appealing to global audiences. I think the above choreography was good, and both dancers did a great job, but the boy actually has rhythm, where as the girl was just doing the moves. She was stiff through her waistline and lacked the technique for the butt moves.

@quenquen411 The Federal Censorship Council (whatever word starts with C). It's the controls in the States that dictates what can and can't be said or revealed on televised broadcasts. Any show that is produced in America is gone over with a fine tooth comb before you see them at home. Here in Canada, those rules of what's acceptable are a little more lax. Thankfully.

Editing for dialogue and content is pretty much the same for shows you can watch in both countries, but for raw footage and uncut pieces, say movies or music videos, they can be watched in the way they were intended by the artist. And hey, if someone objects to it, switch the station. :)

This was definately a huge improvement from last year`s attempt at Dancehall. While I still found the girl stiff through her waistline and hips she had great energy, and the choreography was closer to form (gully creeper, hot wuk, dutty whine, willie bounce etc were all in there) I thought the guy did an excellent job. BIG UP Jamaica, definately a step in the right direction.

I would have like to see more hip and waist isolations if they do dancehall again, but other than that :):):)

im sorryto say but something about this was off, like the timing or something or maybe just a technical problem cause i didnt seem to me that they were dancing to the beat of the music (example, the slow part at 3:00 then they speed up and get energetic at 3:03, i think they were supposed to do that when the music gets louder and faster at like 3:04)
