Im a Vol FF in The great State of Texas we are unpaid professionals we get the same training as the paid we actually go to the same school as the paid to get certified by the SFFMA so that we can volunteer we do it as a hobby not as a profession its for people that just want to help out their commnunity. Dont think we dont know anything just because we are volunteers we actually go through an agility test and physical every 2 years just to stay volunteers and we get trained every monday night.

why can't paramedics be heros?? A firefighter brings a person out of a burning building, but who brings them back to live. the paramedic does. paramedics do not get enough respect .

No one said that EMT-B or EMT-P(Paramedics) aren't. This video just happens to be about firefighters. Although I do agree that they are sometimes overlooked. Some of that is because in many areas paramedics are also firefighters. Either way the emergency services together get the job done!

Sadly enough in some cities EMTs and Firefighters have to wear bullet proof vests in certain areas.
I won't put down the cops. The ones in our area are always doing what the can to help out. Two of them did run into a dwelling fire to assist and old man to get out.
