I learned the Code from some old phonograph records. These are featured in one of my videos, but I would suggest using a software program instead. Programs are available on the net but I don't know which one is best for a beginner. One thing you definitely should NOT do is memorize dots and dashes from a chart. Morse Code is a language of sound, so you should learn the sound of each letter. By visualizing dots and dashes you will limit your future progress greatly.
