The Kings get the Staples Center 85% full every night and the Lakers sell out every night. Attendance wasn't the reason that the Raiders and Rams moved out of LA. Business, however, was.

People need to realize a team from Canada will NEVER be in the Winter Classic. It was an event created for the US audience by NBC. Putting the Leafs, Canadiens, and Oilers in this video just shows a lack of knowledge on the subject.

Get a couple things straight here 5117, Canada has the Heritage Classic, which is composed of all Canadian teams and only Canadian teams. The Winter Classic will only focus on American Teams in order to create more popularity for hockey in the states. Canadian teams will never play in the Winter Classic and the Winter Classic came from the idea of a Heritage Classic in the states. And yes there will be a Heritage Classic in February.

@apdanglez Again, wrong. It's the Heritage Classic, it's always been the Heritage Classic. The first one was in 2003 in Edmonton, pitting the Oiler's against the Canadians. Montreal won that game 4-3 and from it the American's got the idea of there own Heritage called The Winter Classic. The first Winter Classic was in 2008. The Winter Classic (WC) came from the Heritage, the Heritage came from the "Cold War" college game. If you did your homework you would of known that.

why would the wild play the oilers at target field? the wild have bigger rivals like the vancouver canucks, calgary flames, or the colorado avalanche. their biggest rival would be the canucks though.

they are my favorite team too but i agree. i love playing washington but i do think it's unfair that the pens get to play in another wc so soon. it's only been a couple yrs and couple other teams later. i was really surprised. congrats hawks and good run philly. go pens : )

This is a joke. The caps and pens have ZERO history, only because of ovechkin and crosby......its all about ratings. Im a diehard hockey and flyers fan and I am all for expanding the game to new people but this penguins and capitals crap being forced down our throat every time I watch a game is too much and this is the icing on the cake!! ENOUGH ALREADY!!! There are 28 other teams in the league if you haven't realized it yet!!!

@xxfateunknownxx Actually, the Capitals and Penguins have had quite a bit of history BEFORE Ovi n Sid the Kid. Back in the 80s and quite often in the 90s the two teams hated each other. There were quite a few brawls. I'm also sorry Philly lost in the SCF. I was really rooting for them and they had a great playoff season, (even though I'm a Pens fan).
