SEGA does what Nintendon't, Super Nintendo is what Genesisn't and other assorted public insults at each other.

@AaronLavigne248 A common theme in Sega commercials. Second place always going after the top dog. Sony did it as well when they first entered the gaming ring, mentioning both Nintendo and Sega in at least one commercial that aired. Crash even paid a visit to NOA HQ and called Mario out. Far as I can recall, Nintendo ignored their competition in TV ads.

People talking about the price being much lower back then. Keep in mind that the technology in todays machines is way more advanced, and contains a whole lot more stuff in them. Feel the weight difference between a sega mega drive 16 bit and a playstation 3. The sad part is that the developers know we want that new stuff, which allows them to push the price up even more.

149.99 was a huge price drop, the system had been out for 2 years, and if you adjust for inflation it costs $233.30, and it's only a console. X-Box 360 has been out for 5 years, costs $250 bucks and does a whole lot more.

Video games are a waste of time and money.
