Amazing and very beautiful movie. Visual effects were brilliant for that time, no wonder the movie won the Oscar. The 80's had some kind and sweet Sci-Fi films - E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, Flight of the Navigator and Cocoon of course. I like the fact that it were calm films - not action wars like in Star Wars or scary monsters like in Alien films. All the actors/actresses did a brilliant job. Steve Guttenberg and Tahnee Welch looked so beautiful and hot screen couple

@Magnolia296 but alien, star wars etc were all also 80ies movies...or perhaps late 70ies...they are hardly examples of modern sci-fi hehe

@alonsokor Hey - used a real heart beat for the opening - but mostly James Horner's Aliens soundtrack.

I remember stumbling across this on a tv channel when I was about 5 and being scared shitless of aliens after watching it. Looking at this trailer now just makes me lol. XD
