  • Hey i have an 84 Celica im just getting into cars im 15 and i want to get my all jacked b4 my junior year (im in 10th now) can you tell me what you did to your celica? please! thank you :D

  • no, 1985 Supra

  • @Splash43000 Its because before the name is Toyota Celica Supra

  • is that a s12 coupe ur dragging against?

  • sweet man, I want your fenders sooooo bad, its hard to find GT fenders around where I live, I hate my stock fender flares, I'll be doing a 1uzfe swap in my 85 coupe somewhere down the road after I finish building my corolla, very cool build though man, I love coupes

  • you guys think I can put a 2jz on my 83 celica?

  • @whorunsthisbitch

its a rear wheel drive toyota.......you can put anything in it

  • @IndigoMKII maybe not in this celica. But there is a gtr with a 2jz powering all four.

  • with auto gear !!!!!!!!!!!

  • ahhahahahaha holy shit that thing is hauling

  • Toysport is even selling their fully decked out 2JZ Celica for $12K. I believe it runs 10's

  • You'd have to do some kind of setup like the GT-R has with another drive shaft and diff running up front, it would be a horrible setup on this car.

  • oldscool with new tecnology i like that

  • I wonder how many horsepower that celica has.

  • i agree with toreyjw1, this is deff not the place to serioulsy ask that question haha

  • So wat all would i have to do 2 put a 2jz in my 85 supra?

  • youtube is definitely not the place to seek advice...

  • @ShredHead1992

You need some mechanic friends. No matter how well you search, nothing teaches you what to do better than someone right there beside you who knows what they're talking about.

  • pft you can squeeze a 2j into anything

  • that thing is sick, wish I had one of those, could a 2jz fit in a 2001 celica gts?

  • no way in hell.

maybe it could fit in the hatch?

  • nope

  • ah man, is the engine too big?

  • yeah but it will need I lot of money 2 do so but it can be done

  • sure if u dont mine the engine and transmission sticking out from ur fenders...no man it wont fit...ur engine sits sideways where a supra engine goes long ways..not possible..well...its possible but not recommended..

  • Actually i just seen a vid of a newer celica with a 2jz and it ran a 8.25 with nothing sticking out of nowhere the inline 4 is longer in lenght then the 2jz is in width.

  • Yes, but the engine bay isn't long enough (front to back) to use the 2jz. It must have been cut and welded to hell and back.

  • But its wellworth it if it's built off of shop money.

  • this celica came RWD

  • You own a 85 celica and you don't know that its RWD? lol

  • wow i agree this is very sad ....

  • get the engine and the tranny 1st. Choose a good workshop which can provid u with the type of labour needed. Get a rear 84 Supra subframe with the diff and axles. A high flow fuel pump and it will remain the matter of fabricating the engine and tranny mounts. A front mount intercooler is also needed.

If you will run a manual tranny, it will give you a variety of stand-alone ECUs to fit the wiring to. I used the stock 2JZGTE ECU+wiring along with SAFC II to control the air/fuel.

  • hey man this is a nice and fast car damn!!! i have a 85 celica too and i want to do that please can you help me to doit give me some information can you?? what did you use and where did you get it from pleasee!!! thanks

  • This thing flies !!!

  • In Puerto Rico theres is a Street Legal 71' Celica running 8 seconds on the 1/4 mile , with a 2jz engine. STREET LEGAL!! Puerto Rico home of the fastest imports in the world.

  • youre damn right !!!!!!

  • Thanks guys, acctually i dont have a work log. I fabricated engine mounts for it along with tranny mount. And the last couple of runs where 10.7@216km/hr after changing the rear ratio ;)

  • How did you get it to fit? Do you have pictures/web site with a work log?

  • Why did you decide to put a 2jz engine into an old celica? Not that its a bad decision, i mean the time on that quarter mile run says enough, im just curious :P

  • DAMN!!! My 85 GT-S with a 152E race engine is fast. That car is FUCKING PURE INSANITY!!!

Nice work. I'm putting a 2JZ in a 85 supra never would have thought to put one in a celica. Keep it up.

  • it a stock 2jz tranny.. needs a liitle fabrication down under to fit the tranny

  • stock for celia or stock for 2jz i have an 85 celica that will get a 2jz just because pepole tell me it cant be done

  • using the stock Auto tranny with a boost logic stall convertor

  • what tranny did you use

  • So it either fits or I ran 10's with the 21R engine!!

  • dude that fits?!? 2jz!! no way really

  • I got an 83 celica I want to know everything you did! I want the fastest 22R-E powered 3rd gen on the planet!

  • Glad you liked it guys, I ran 10.7@214km/hr 2 weeks back ;)

  • OMG.. i want a 2jz for my celica lol

  • lolz i didn't know that was possible but now that i do, i want to do it to mine =D
