I had a TOTALLY different look on it. I imagined Darren as a shorter, younger boy with dark brown hair. Crepsley also had redish hair, not a brown afro. The movie looks disappointing but I am looking forward to seeing what Desmond Tiny looks like (or if they "changed" him) and Lady Evanna [SPOILER, SORRY GUYS] (if you don't know who that is, don't worry she'll be in the later books) Although, they keep calling her ugly, I think of her as beautiful :P & I love her name.

Well I enjoyed this film when I saw it more so than twilight. :) that's just my opinion though - I'm into lighthearted films and I find romance awkward to watch. So twilight wasn't my greatest watch, personally.

@alorahD13 Because it's a lot like the Twilight Saga. If you read all 12 books from cover to cover like I did, you would know why these people compare it to Twilight. The book was highly better than the Twilight books. (I could barely get past the first book, let alone 4 of them) This book had a lot more excitement to it and left me on the edge of my seat. You should read the book

yes they are making the 1-3 books into a movie. 4-6 books into a movie 7-9 books into a movie, and 10-12 into a movie. Although im not totally sure because they migh not do exactly that or it might not be as popular so they might stop making them.

I really hope they do this right. This story may have started as your average whiney teenage vampire story, but it went so many great places...

They better not put all the story in one movie, like with Series of Unfortunate Events or Inkspell. I can already tell this is happening differently, but I hope they stick to the important events.

Steve gets turned down, Darren fucks up and is forced to become a Vampire (to his great dismay). And was there a villain in this story? Not Crepsley, I mean.

I recently came to the conclusion that this is the first three books in one movie, which might be a good idea. Unfortunately, it's already being marketed as a fun adventure film, which the book was not.

I can see them putting the first three books in a movie, that makes sense. As long as they keep the spirit of the story intact, which seems unlikely right now.
