  • Wait?!? Is this movie tryin to tell me that the lady jumped down from all the way up there?? Without even, at the very least, straining an ankle?!? Oh, movie please.... >.>

  • Thank you for this! It's a much better quality. Is this the director's extended version?

  • THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!

  • Omqq

  • 480p hq? XD

  • Wow, this is incredible. Incredibly boring!

  • It's terrible but I love it.

  • this film is finally on sale on dvd!

  • the only superhero movie worse than batman and robin...

  • Captain Forrest Gump?

  • muy linda difinicion..la disfrute!!

  • OMD, the remake is 10 times betta

  • muy buena, el traje sí se parece al original

  • They should make a Superhero called 'Captain Ireland'. The whole world loves the Irish and we party harder than anyone. It would be a cool green outfit and he could be abit of a anti hero with all the drinking and whoring us Irish man & women do hahahahaahahahahaahahahaha. Thumbs up if you love the cool idea of an Irish superhero 'Fighting crime with drink & weed'. RaSpex.

  • Times like these, when our leaders sell out the nation, we need all the heroes we can find.

  • I love you forever for this, whoever you are!

  • I really liked this film and I am looking forward to seeing the new one.I just hope people are not too critical of this compared to the new one.I figure that they both have a place that is unique.

  • @jonnstoffer this is better than the new one story line is a bit different

  • Just watching this before going to see the First Avenger.

  • What edition of the film was this sourced from?

  • Holy crap, I remember I used to watch this movie when I was a kid! Glad I got the 1990s version of Capt America first before going for the First Avenger! :D

    Awesome! Thanks for the sharing!!

  • 0:39 for an awesome looking logo, they sure introduced in boringly...

  • Say thanks for uploading this movie it's one of classic b-movies of the 90's.

Let's keep these movies like this one alive.

  • what happened in the first 5 minutes because i didt understand?

  • @MrJorge006 basically mussolini and his troops known as the brown-shirts came to the house of the three angels where the boy who got taken away who became the red skull lived. the troops opened fire on his family and killed them the expirement which turned the boy into the red skull and improved his intellgence by times three and his speed. ps the boy was alreadly intellgent for his age as shown by the piano scene

he is a grade 8 I believe which is good for a 12 year old

  • @199019852007 oh ok Thanks :D

  • I WANT TO SEE THIS BEFORE I SEE THE FRIST AVENGER

  • I kept thinking of the halo diorama when he played the piano.

  • the incredible hulk series with bill bixby and lou ferrigno was way better than any of the comic book series made!!bixby and ferrigno were way better actors than brown and anywone else.the series scrips were even better.the only thing they changed was banners first name from bruce to david!!

  • thank you for posting this i forgot all about this movie i seen this one on HBO i watched it with my brother when i was 4 years old it was 1993 i think and it came on HBO i knew all along they had a captain america movie i remember this

  • @justinfleming1988 Actually, this is the fourth Cap movie. There was a matinee serial in the 40's and two TV movies in 1979 that aired on CBS. They were never picked up for series, unfortunately. It probably would have been pretty cool. Probably better than the Spider-Man and Incredible Hulk shows, I would think. Although, that Hulk show actually got pretty good for a good stretch of it. The TV movies are up on YT.

  • @xJoeEDangerouslyx i seen the first 2 on scifi channel when they had a holiday heroes movie marathon in december 1997 i was 9

  • @xJoeEDangerouslyx by the way i never knew that they had 2 captain america movies back in 1979 when i saw the holiday heroes movie marathon advertisement on the scifi channel back in december 1997

  • I remember this one! I thought it was pretty good back when I was a youngster, but will now watch it to see if its as good as I remember it...

First thing I'm surprised to see is that its directed by Albert Pyun of Cyborg fame!

  • before i get into this movie im going to watch it for 2 reasons one its almost the 4th of july and it seems cool to watch this before the 4th and im watching it before i see the new captain america i heard this movie was pretty good for a low budget cheesy movie my freind told me so ill check it out

  • im going to watch this before i see the new captain america the first avenger movie in theateres

  • How did I miss this, did this video go straight-to-beta max?

  • Red Skull was German not Italian.

  • @romas1995 maybe he was born in germany and moved to italy

  • @romas1995 there was a russian red skull too :p

  • @romas1995 Nor Austrian as he is in the new movie. This film is waaaaaay underrated.

  • @romas1995 i agree mate, i think that was one of the many mistakes the made!! no wonder why this wasnt a big success

  • @romas1995 I thought red skull was a natzi

  • @batman1232831 yes he was, he was a german nazi ! thats what i said, that he was german not italian.

  • @romas1995 Doesn't make sense does it! I mean, This is set in WWII isn't it?

  • I haven't seen this movie since I was quite young and I remember enjoying it at the time so It's nice to see it again no matter how lame it might be. We rented it from the local video store.

  • 10,000,000=FILM,S BUDGET

  • No offence to anyone but this movie makes Spider-man 3 look like Dark knight.

  • Also according IMDb, "Before Salinger was given the part, both Dolph Lundgren and Arnold Schwarzenegger were up for the part of Captain America. However, Arnold's accent lost him the part and Lundgren was busy filming The Punisher (1989).

Val Kilmer was also considered for the title role, but declined in favor of The Doors (1991).

  • @TonyLyndellWilliams Smart decisions by all.

  • Voters on IMDb give this film a 2.9 out of 10 rating, one of the lowest I've ever seen.

Also IMDb says "Captain America" grossed just a little over $10,000 during a three-month run in the U.K.

  • I'm curious what Pyun's final budget for the film was.

Originally, it was planned as a $10 million dollar bill.

The executive producer Menahem Golan was also responsible for the awful "Superman IV" which killed that series in 1987.

  • As I understand it, the director's cut of this film will be offered on only the Blu-Ray format -- no regular DVD.

  • The recreation of 1943 Redondo Beach, California is not bad considering the budget limitations.

But Salinger obviously has some limitations as an actor although he projects a good, honest person as Steve Rogers.

    Tony

  • Scott Paulin is quite good as the Red Skull.

Ronny Cox as the president and Ned Beatty as his childhood friend are sort of silly.

Darren McGavin ... I can't even remember what he does in the film. :)

  • "Captain America" (1990) never had a theatrical release in the U.S., only Europe.

It is cheesy and low budget obviously, but fun. My son and I found a copy years ago.

Director Albert Pyun says the budget was cut drastically just before shooting began. His director's cut will include an extra 35 minutes never shown which will explore Steve Rogers' motivation to serve his country.

Matt Salinger, who plays Captain America, is the son of famed novelist J.D. Salinger who died recently.

  • True eh, which sucks, but you never know they might turn out to be another Blade. They are actually making a Directors Cut of this Captain America, lol and they plan to release it on dvd. I wonder how many people would buy that? I know I'll be saving my money for much better things. In this movie at least they got the costume right, lol, but not much else.

  • First Avenger better kick ass and erase all memory of this movie. When are they going to make a kick ass Punisher and Dr. Strange flicks?

  • @superman1749 when hell freezes over cuz no one like dr strange and the punisher isnt famous enough in the non comic world.

  • @desiffer Actually the 1st Punisher movie was really good and very close to the comics in some aspects. the setting was not in new york but the orgins were there as well Punishers back ground and killing :-)

  • @begley2015 I guess but he is still not as popular as other super heroes.

  • @desiffer He is like Spiderman, Hulk, Ironman, F4 and Xman, first of his kind to just kill unlike other heros of the day that didn;t or couldn't he broke the mold

  • Well I guess their not making a fantastic four trilogy. And after the last one thank god.

  • What a terrible film but hey fuck it why the hell not. Hope the new one isnt as terrible dudes and duddetes

  • HAY ITS THE HALO 3 "BELIEVE" SONG! :D

    whats it realy cald?

  • Matt Salinger who played Steve Rogers/Captain America is the son of Catcher In The Rye auther J.D. Salinger,

  • Not sure if others have brought this up during the other parts, but looking at the credits I see a "Deliverance" AND "A Christmas Story" reunion among cast members...Ronny Cox and Ned Beatty from the former, and Darren McGavin and Melinda Dillion from the latter.

Probably couldn't find two movies any further apart in tone and vibe, huh? :D

  • Prelude Op. 28 No. 15 Gouttes De Pluie by Frederic Chopin.

  • @LogicSmash this is the 21st Century Film Corporation that i'm talking about!

  • Overall I liked the film. Details (in relation to the comic) are the problem. The Red Skull was neither an Italian child prodigy nor sympathetic. He was German. His mother died in childbirth, his father committed suicide after trying to kill him.Hitler personally trained him.Steve Rogers' hair was blonde.Cap's sidekick Bucky was a key part of his history. On the other hand,Matt Salinger made a good Cap,the action was not bad,and while the story was a little too rah-rah,that is what Cap's all about.

  • @CinemaCinder Also, The Red Skull was never given his facial features by lab experiments, Hitler gave him a skull mask to wear, and Cap later scarred him permantely that way. Salinger was a horrible Cap, in this film Cap is portrayed as wimpy (he's supposed to have Dr. Erskine's serum in his veins, this movie did not show it) and someone who will bitch at others. Why the hell is the Red Skull fighting him hand to hand? Skull is a evil mastermind, he would never beat Cap in a fight.

  • @Wingerdinger0 this film is the best ever and fuck every fag who doesnt agree, i wasn entertained by it hugely as a kid and i dont carea bout guckin faggot youtube critics

  • @peterscoop Cool story bro. Keep on trolling.

  • @Wingerdinger0 you just used 2 quotes and didnt say anything idiot

  • cool movie kick ass

  • They will have a movie team-up with them. It will be something like Chris Evans as the Human Torch says something like, Hey goo looking! to captain america, look in a mirror, and then faint.

  • AWESOME,I haven't seen this in years,5 starz!!

  • I think Chris Pine should play Cpt. America, not Chris Evans. Thumbs up if you agree!

  • Great movie!

  • I hope the new Captain A film will be based on this type of story but with much better production values and special effects. Kind of like Saving Private Ryan.

  • @lordmerlin10 I hope that they make it a lot more serious than some of the other Marvel movies, because Cpt. Anerica was not a very funny man in the military. And I hope that they make him frozen in the ice with really cool special FX. And how can Chris Evans play Cap. A AND the Human Torch?! They knew each other!

  • Comment removed

  • @lordmerlin10 I totally agree. Maybe a Batman/Saving Private Ryan mix. I say that because it was a good super hero movie.

  • cool

  • In the comics RS was German. Good reproduction none the less. Captures the essence of CA and the RS.

  • what is the piano song does anybody knows?

  • @Arthanis100 did you found out the name of the song? I desperate to find it..

  • @Arthanis100 It sounds to me like Chopin's "Raindrops." I had this song on a tape of classical piano music. :3

  • @Theaphelia Thank You so much! I was trying to find out it for some 10 years :)

  • Four years after this was made films like Pulp Fiction and Forest gump arose.

  • 21st Century Film... LMAO!

But lets be honest, FOX would have done an even worst job.

  • this film is bizarro jjeje

  • I didn't even know of this films existence

  • yeah its old but its te best representation of Captain America movie so far. they explain everything. and the charachters and costumes are right on.

  • i remember seeing the movie poster at my local movie theater for most of the summer waiting for the movie. it never played there. then i got to watch it on tape and was soo disapointed.

  • @redlitez76 It wasn't that bad,I've seen worse!

  • I remember seeing this movie a long time ago on those things that were called "VHS" on a thing called "VCR". I thought this movie rocked...going down memory lane good times. Glad you have this movie!

  • @itsdeluxson573 I remember those, I still have one.
