Goddam, that student souds great! Large basses and bass-baritones can really move some air when they sing. Delicious severe, powerful evil! :D The last laugh is so good that it cracks me up. ahahahah! And Domingo is brilliant.
I don't get it. Why all the singers have a very thick vibrato? It's really too much and it's not beautiful singing. The intonation gets lost in a wobble...
This is the opposite end of legato where the pronunciation gets distorted! Take that and add the crisp diction and it would be great! It takes great concentration to do this.
bien sûr la prononciation n'est pas parfaite.;mais quel français chanterait aussi bien en russe ou en Ukrainien ?La voix est superbe et dans sa langue originelle il doit être encore meilleur.
I don't understand a single word. Singing is basically about language. If you cannot hold a minimum french pronunciation (I don't mean perfect), don't sing in french!
The singer is indeed very talented. He has all the tools that he needs to be very succesfful, but whether he has a teacher that can get him technically able to use all of his gifts is the question.
I love this aria. And the person singing this is very talented. This has to be one of my favorite bass arias. And Faust happens to be my favorite opera.
is the student in black face?
